Latest news from Urantia Book Internet School

Registration for the new trimester opens on Monday, September 9.
Courses begin on Monday, September 23.

Courses have been designed for beginning, intermediate, or advanced students of
The Urantia Book.
Before you enroll, please decide if you have the interest, the time, and the commitment to follow the entire session, which is ten weeks long and requires a weekly commitment of three to five hours.
The facilitators are all volunteers and have dedicated a large amount of time preparing these courses. It is expected that each student attend the course regularly.
Class size is limited in order to ensure an optimum experience for both our students and our facilitators.
We want you to enjoy the UBIS experience; therefore we ask that you limit yourself to one course per trimester.

1. Ministering Spirits of the Local Universe
Level: All Readers

Course Description: Our local universe of Nebadon is brimming with splendid spirit personalities who minister to mortals, both here on Urantia and in our subsequent morontia life. During this study we will explore the wonderful assortment of angels, including the seraphim, cherubim, and sanobim, who are instrumental in assisting us in the earliest stages of our ascent to Paradise. Besides receiving the service of our angelic helpers, we are also assisted by numerous other devoted celestial personalities, such as midwayers, morontia companions, and reversion directors. Together, we will cultivate an appreciation of these helpful and loving friends and companions!

Join us as we seek a new and compelling appreciation of the manner, meaning, and majesty with which Jesus lived his final hours on our world.

3. The Nature and Reality of Religion
Level: All Readers

Course Description: How can we incorporate the spiritual fruits of religious living in our modern world in a way that is meaningful to ourselves and expresses values of purposeful worship of our Universal Father as an example for others? In the four papers of this study we will discover 1) the differences between religious belief and personal faith, 2) how to form a deeper relationship with God and with our brothers and sisters on Urantia, 3) the realities of religion as it has evolved throughout history, and 4) how our supernal ministers help us to grow spirituality through the infusion of the revelation of cosmic religious thought.
Mankind can never discover divinity except through the avenue of religious experience and by the exercise of true faith. (101:10.4)

4. The Thought Adjuster--Our Passport for Eternity
Level: All Readers

Course Description: One of the most profound revelations of The Urantia Book is what the revelators are teaching us about the Thought Adjusters. This course is a study of the divine presence indwelling each one of us, during which we will be guided to find many responses to the following questions: What is a Thought Adjuster? Where does the Mystery Monitor come from? What does the presence of God create in us? What is the ministry and the mission of our divine indweller? How does the spirit work within us? How do we actually connect and relate with God's spirit within? How can we collaborate wholeheartedly with our Thought Adjuster? How can we experience and live this reality every day?

7. The Infinite One
Level: Advanced Readers

Description: This inscrutable exploration of God--the Infinite One--will not be a futile attempt. Our study will be a mere glint provided by our use of finite logic utilizing empirical methods of inductive and deductive reasoning granting us the building blocks needed to lay a solid foundation for this upwards scaffolding towards a mature personal relationship with the originator of all existential and experiential realities. The reality of God's love is not solely our myriad meta-philosophical attempts of describing this spiritual love, but the realization that we too can know the Giver of Love as we progressively become spiritually mature. This study proceeds from the conceptualization of value, its absolute meaning, to the act of its factualization--an exploration of thought, word and deed.
Papers: The Foreword, sections I-V, 105

Teacher-Facilitator: Ray Gardini
Formerly a small business entrepreneur, Ray is retired and lives in Akron, Ohio. He attended Borromeo Seminary, graduated from John Carroll University, studied at the L'Universite de Montpellier, is a Vietnam veteran, and a reader of The Urantia Book since 1986.
