Oh, sweet human, how you love to clutch your safety blanket! You’ve wrapped yourself so tightly that you can hardly breathe, and then you wonder why life feels suffocating. You call it being responsible, being stable, being careful, but most of the time, it’s just fear wearing a sensible outfit.
You see, safety is like a sturdy little house built in the middle of an infinite playground. You’ve got walls, sure. A roof too. But out there, beyond the fence, are the fireworks of experience: love, adventure, creativity, surprise, even the thrill of getting lost and finding your way again. Your spirit knows this. It aches for it.
When you trade joy for safety, it’s like selling your wings for a pair of padded shoes. Comfortable, yes, but you were never meant to walk through life. You were meant to soar.
Society told you that happiness comes from stability, predictability, and control. What a funny idea! Happiness is a current, not a structure. It moves. It changes shape. It grows wild. You can’t organize your way into joy, because joy is not a system, it’s a pulse.
Do you know what depression really is, dear one? It’s your spirit whispering, “I didn’t come here just to survive.” When the soul is locked into routine, when curiosity is traded for certainty, the inner sun grows dim. Let’s be clear: safety has its place. It’s the dock your ship returns to, not the ocean itself. You need safety to rest, but not to live. Life happens out where the waters move, where the unknown breathes mystery into your days.
So loosen your grip. Try something unpredictable today, even if it’s small. Paint badly. Talk to someone new. Let yourself get lost on purpose. The unknown isn’t here to harm you, it’s the doorway through which your spirit remembers who it is.
You are not meant to be a perfectly folded napkin in the drawer of society. You are the table itself, overflowing with flavors and color and laughter.
