My dear friends, we love you so very much,
In a world filled with contrasts, there exists a singular light burning brightly beneath the surface of all creation. And while you celebrate its appearance in the babe in a manger and the oil in the lamp, it lives also in every newborn baby, in every candle, in every person, animal, and cell. It is the life in every blade of grass, every tree, every animal, in those you love and in those you cannot stand. There is nothing in all of creation that comes from a source other than this loving presence. There is nothing and no one that exists separate from it.
The greatest gift you can give yourself is to acknowledge this light within you—to remember you are sourced from love, and as a child of creation itself, you deserve your own love, compassion, and kindness. Take a moment to breathe and feel the love that is you, stirring within.
Even in your darkest hours, it is there, burning quietly in your depths. The Christ child was born in a cold and dark manger, intending from his first breath to illuminate darkness. The oil did not burn in a temple at peace—it burned after the ravages and shortages of war. Your holidays of light celebrate the presence of light emerging in spite of darkness, burning brightly regardless of the challenges around it.
The more you allow this light to shine within you, the more you become a beacon of hope and inspiration in your world. You will shine and be kind without an agenda, simply because it is your joy and your nature to do so. You will love because it feels better—and because it is your nature to love. You will illuminate those wanting to be illuminated and have no need to chase the darkness away from those who choose to hide in its shadows. You will be you—true to your loving heart, honoring your inner light, and respectfully allowing others the path they choose, even if it is not what you would choose for yourself.
The Christ child was born not to save the world by demonstrating might and right, but to demonstrate a love beyond reason and a peace that surpasses understanding. He came intending to fully embody the true Divine Self, hoping that others would feel, know, and acknowledge this love within their own hearts.
The "salvation" offered by this beautiful being was a powerful, loving energy that rippled through the field of human consciousness—one that said, You can love in spite of hate. You can be light in spite of darkness. You can find unity and connection with the Creator even when surrounded by those seeking to divide. You are so much more than you appear to be. You are greater than the circumstances around you. You are at one with the power that creates worlds, and when you know this, your love becomes a force for deep, lasting, and loving change.
Likewise, the lamp did not burn to eradicate all darkness, but to bring hope, inspiration, and a reminder that the Creator's love exists even when it is difficult to see or imagine. That light of the lamp burns within you. As you acknowledge it—whether through ceremony or silence—you find victory over darkness. You conquer ignorance and separation. You re-dedicate the temple of your human existence to Divine Love. You become the miracle.
Dear ones, as you enjoy your holidays, remember that this light exists in all beings and all things. It exists in the friends and relatives you can't wait to see and in the ones you'd rather avoid. It exists in the peace, calm, and caroling—and in the burnt desserts, the ornaments knocked off by the dog, and the dreidel the cat bats under the couch. It is everywhere, in all things and all beings.
If you take a breath and remember this light, all will be transformed. An otherwise annoying moment in traffic during last-minute shopping can become transcendent as you witness the miracle of being in human form—sitting in a vehicle amidst so many other human forms, all One, yet expressed with such diversity. It is magnificent.
During your holidays, pause now and then. Breathe. Put your hands on your heart and acknowledge the light within you. "The light of Christ, the light of the lamp, the light of Creation exists within me—and within all others." Be a little kinder to yourself, and as you envision this light in all souls, see where you feel inspired to extend that kindness to others.
You are never disconnected from this light—only from the experience of it. In grief, your loved ones stand near, ready to share. In frustration, your cries for love echo through the universe, and love begins to flow toward you in greater measure. Let it in. Pause. Breathe. Receive the light that streams through creation as it awakens within you.
And in doing so, you bring Christmas, Hanukkah, and all celebrations of light to life within yourself.

| Queridos amigos, los amamos muchísimo.
En un mundo lleno de contrastes, existe una luz singular que brilla intensamente bajo la superficie de toda la creación. Y mientras celebran su aparición en el bebé en el pesebre y en el aceite de la lámpara, también vive en cada recién nacido, en cada vela, en cada persona, animal y célula. Es la vida en cada brizna de hierba, en cada árbol, en cada animal, en quienes aman y en quienes no soportan. No hay nada en toda la creación que provenga de otra fuente que esta presencia amorosa. No hay nada ni nadie que exista separado de ella.
El mayor regalo que pueden darse es reconocer esta luz dentro de ustedes: recordar que provienen del amor y que, como hijos de la creación misma, merecen su propio amor, compasión y bondad. Tómense un momento para respirar y sentir el amor que es su esencia, agitándose en su interior.
Incluso en sus horas más oscuras, está ahí, ardiendo silenciosamente en lo más profundo de ustedes. El niño Jesús nació en un pesebre frío y oscuro, con la intención, desde su primer aliento, de iluminar la oscuridad. El aceite no ardía en un templo en paz, sino tras los estragos y la escasez de la guerra. Tus festividades de luz celebran la presencia de la luz que emerge a pesar de la oscuridad, brillando con intensidad a pesar de los desafíos que la rodean.
Cuanto más permitas que esta luz brille en tu interior, más te convertirás en un faro de esperanza e inspiración para el mundo. Brillarás y serás amable sin un propósito definido, simplemente porque es tu alegría y tu naturaleza hacerlo. Amarás porque te sientes mejor y porque amar es parte de tu naturaleza. Iluminarás a quienes desean ser iluminados y no tendrás necesidad de ahuyentar la oscuridad de quienes eligen esconderse en sus sombras. El niño Jesús nació no para salvar al mundo demostrando poder y justicia, sino para demostrar un amor que trasciende la razón y una paz que sobrepasa el entendimiento. Vino con la intención de encarnar plenamente el verdadero Ser Divino, con la esperanza de que otros sintieran, conocieran y reconocieran este amor en sus propios corazones.
La "salvación" ofrecida por este hermoso ser fue una energía poderosa y amorosa que recorrió la conciencia humana , una energía que decía: Puedes amar a pesar del odio. Puedes ser luz a pesar de la oscuridad. Puedes encontrar unidad y conexión con el Creador incluso rodeado de quienes buscan dividir. Eres mucho más de lo que aparentas. Eres más grande que las circunstancias que te rodean. Eres uno con el poder que crea mundos, y cuando lo sabes, tu amor se convierte en una fuerza para un cambio profundo, duradero y amoroso.
Del mismo modo, la lámpara no ardió para erradicar toda la oscuridad, sino para traer esperanza, inspiración y un recordatorio de que el amor del Creador existe incluso cuando es difícil de ver o imaginar. Esa luz de la lámpara arde dentro de ti. Al reconocerla, ya sea mediante una ceremonia o en silencio, encuentras la victoria sobre la oscuridad. Conquistas la ignorancia y la separación. Rededicas el templo de tu existencia humana al Amor Divino. Te conviertes en el milagro.
Queridos, mientras disfrutan de sus fiestas, recuerden que esta luz existe en todos los seres y en todas las cosas. Existe en los amigos y familiares que anhelan ver y en aquellos que preferirían evitar. Existe en la paz, la calma y los villancicos, y en los postres quemados, los adornos que el perro tiró y el dreidel que el gato bate debajo del sofá. Está en todas partes, en todas las cosas y en todos los seres.
Si respiran y recuerdan esta luz, todo se transformará. Un momento molesto en el tráfico durante las compras de última hora puede volverse trascendental al presenciar el milagro de estar en forma humana: sentado en un vehículo entre tantas otras formas humanas, todas Una, pero expresadas con tanta diversidad. Es magnífico.
Durante tus vacaciones, haz una pausa de vez en cuando. Respira. Pon las manos sobre el corazón y reconoce la luz que hay en ti. «La luz de Cristo, la luz de la lámpara, la luz de la Creación existe en mí y en todos los demás». Sé un poco más amable contigo mismo y, al visualizar esta luz en todas las almas, observa dónde te sientes inspirado a extender esa bondad a los demás.
Nunca estás desconectado de esta luz, solo de la experiencia que experimentas. En el dolor, tus seres queridos están cerca, listos para compartir. En la frustración, tus llantos de amor resuenan en el universo, y el amor comienza a fluir hacia ti con mayor intensidad. Déjalo entrar. Haz una pausa. Respira. Recibe la luz que fluye a través de la creación a medida que despierta en ti.
Y al hacerlo, das vida a la Navidad, a Hanukkah y a todas las celebraciones de luz en tu interior. ¡
