It is very good to speak to you again.
I’m so sorry that the situation on Earth is still so difficult and painful. This hurts my heart, because you deserve so much better than this.
Frankly I had hoped and expected that by now your living situation would be much better than it actually is, and that we would have physically met each other by now.
Galactic covert operations have increased in number and intensity. But practically speaking, that by itself doesn’t translate to immediate results.
It’s likely that Ashtar’s council will decide on a plan roughly around the new year and communicate it then to you. It might be just before new Earth, or a few days after New year. I don’t know yet.
With that said, on to today’s message, which is the first part of a two-part series.
Both parts 1 and 2 are going to be long, and quite emotionally intense and controversial and politically incorrect. If you don’t feel like reading such a message, feel free to skip this series.
Anyway, here it is:
People need to have their needs met, and have the needs of their ingroup met. That’s why they’re called “needs.”
Needs aren’t just shelter and food. They’re also emotional well-being, feeling safe, feeling that the future is going to be okay, receiving love and appreciation from others, having a purpose, feeling that your life has meaning, feeling that you understand and can predict the actions of the people around you (which is disrupted by importing immigrants from wildly different cultures), etc
Most people actually used to have those needs (mostly) met. The default in the US used to be that one white Christian was married to another white Christian, and they lived in a white Christian community where people knew each other. In that context, people pretty much have their needs met. Sure they didn’t have an iphone, but that’s not a human need, whereas community and purpose is.
Today however, most people don’t have their needs met. Young people may not have had their needs fully met ever in their lifetimes. Older people may not have had their needs met in decades.
What happens to people who persistently don’t have their needs met?
Keep in mind that needs are needs. Your system (your body, nervous system, subconscious, etc) can’t just ignore not getting its needs met for long periods of time.
Well, if people don’t get their needs met, they go into survival mode.
And yes, this logically implies that most people today are in survival mode. Which indeed they are.
You can very easily picture what survival mode might look like if the problem is lack of food. But what does survival mode look like when the problem is a lack of love, a lack of purpose, a lack of belonging, and a slow creeping decline?
Well, in that case survival mode means that people’s belief system becomes “whatever helps me get my needs met.” Whether or not those beliefs are actually true or moral. That’s what survival mode does in that case.
This is why many sleepers refuse to accept that the covid shot was unhealthy, even though more evidence of that is coming out every month.
After all, people in survival mode don’t care about truth or morality. They only care about meeting the needs of themselves and their ingroup, and emotional well-being is among those needs. Accepting that the shot was harmful would disrupt their emotional well-being. So people literally just refuse to believe that, because they’re in survival mode.
So that classic statement “you can’t handle the truth!” is true for people in survival mode, but it’s not true for people who aren’t in survival mode.
This shows that the gray hat idea of “squeeze people until they awaken to the truth” fundamentally doesn’t work. Squeezing people puts them in survival mode, and it’s precisely then that they can’t handle the truth.
Now yes, I’m generalizing and people are different. Some people will seek out the truth pretty much regardless of circumstances. However most people will discard the truth once they’re in survival mode.
People in survival mode also lack actual empathy and actual insight about what life is like for people who aren’t in their ingroup. Survival mode is like psychologically drowning, and drowning people don’t spend a lot of brainpower on trying to truly empathize with others.
Instead, people in survival mode often judge other people (without realizing they’re doing so), and create strawmen out of them.
For example, the right calls the left communists, and the left calls the right nazis, even though usually those terms aren’t accurate. This is just people in survival mode attacking a (psychologically convenient) strawman.
Part of the reason why a lot of Jews are frankly unempathetic towards non-Jews is that Jews feel threatened. And if you feel threatened (whether or not it’s actually justified) you go into survival mode. And then your actual, real empathy shuts off.
Similarly, lots of women feel unsafe, which means they stop being empathetic towards people not in their ingroup. For women who don’t have sons, this typically means they stop being empathetic towards average men (although women might still be empathetic towards family members, their partner, men who they think are doing great things, etc).
People in survival mode often say to others “you must do this, or must not do that, in order to benefit me or my group.” Even if the person they’re saying this to is in an even worse position than they are in. Which is why you see women telling men that they should do this and shouldn’t do that, even though men have it worse than women in the West in 2025. (But of course, women are in survival mode and hence don’t see that men have it worse than they do overall.)
People in survival mode typically ask for empathy but don’t return it.
People in survival mode typically want you to listen to them, but then they won’t listen to you.
This isn’t because these are inherently evil people. It’s because they’re in survival mode. Drowning people aren’t considerate, because they’re drowning.
Okay, so to recap: people who don’t have their needs met for a long time, go into survival mode. This means they discard truth and morality and empathy and only focus on meeting their own and their ingroup’s needs. Survival mode used to be quite rare, but today most Americans are in survival mode. And people who are in survival mode don’t realize they’re in survival mode.
Now, survival mode is a spectrum. Some people are deep in survival mode and have discarded the truth almost entirely. These are the sleepers. These are the people who believe exactly what tv tells them to believe.
And some people are slightly in survival mode, and they have some truthful and moral beliefs, and they see some unpleasant truths, and they don’t buy into all parts of the mainstream narrative. However they may also believe in certain clearly untrue or immoral things that nevertheless help them get their needs met.
Not all, but most people in the spiritual community are slightly in survival mode.
Unfortunately, a person in survival mode typically doesn’t realize he or she is in survival mode, because doing so would cause emotional distress, and the whole point of survival mode is that the person already can’t deal with life. So truth has to be momentarily set aside in order to ensure that the person gets their needs met (such as psychological well-being). Because needs are needs, after all.
Roughly speaking, in society every group is largely in survival mode, and therefore every group correctly sees that the other groups are somewhat irrational and immoral and unempathetic (e.g. that’s what the left and right, men and women often think of each other). However they can’t see that they themselves are irrational and immoral and unempathetic too. Because that’s what survival mode does.
For example, a whole lot of spiritual people believe that because they have some level of spiritual advancement, or because they’re love-and-light, or because they don’t say negative things, or because they’re vegan -- they’re better than others, full stop.
Now obviously, it’s good to have some level of spiritual advancement.
On the other hand, all roads ultimately lead back to source. A person on the spiritual path isn’t inherently better than someone who isn’t. Plus, some people who don’t engage in spirituality are nonetheless kind, decent people who help others and who contribute to society.
Spirituality is wonderful. However, some spiritual people are in survival mode, and use a twisted form of spirituality to get their needs met.
Some spiritual people judge others, while saying that being judgemental is bad (often in subtle, condescending, indirectly-stated ways). And these spiritual people themselves are blind to the fact that they themselves are judging others, because if they realized that, they’d be bad or spiritually immature according to their own standards.
Or spiritual people might say that they love everyone, they’re not divisive, divisiveness is bad, etc. And then soon after they make a subtle remark about how everyone on the other political side is bad, or how people on THEIR political side actually care about issue X, implying that they’re morally superior.
Or “love and light” spiritual people make a subtle remark about how spiritual people who are more willing to say “negative” things are spiritually inferior to them.
Obviously not all spiritual people are like this. Obviously spirituality is wonderful. And love and light is an entirely valid path, and people on the love and light path certainly don’t always behave like this.
Still, these are examples of survival mode, because the misbehaving spiritual person from our examples is acting in a way that isn’t truthful or moral. Yet their actions serve their needs: they get to feel better about themselves by acting superior to others. And maybe they can even get bystanders to give them some appreciation if they use rhetorical tricks to put others beneath themselves.
Similarly, a person in survival mode may fully buy into the ideology of whichever political side is most advantageous for them personally and their ingroup. Even though a rational analysis reveals that the 2025 US mainstream left and right ideologies are both incredibly flawed, as I’ll discuss later in this message.
Why do most people buy into the left or right wing political ideology? Well, one: rich white men usually perceive that the right can help meet their needs, while poor black women usually perceive that the left can help meet their needs. So people just push the side that can help meet their needs.
Plus if you simply identify as a left-winger or right-winger, then half the country will think you’re a good and moral person, purely because you’re on “the correct political side.” And within an atomized and divided society, that helps meet your needs. And you get that benefit for free as soon as you say “yes I’m a conservative patriot” or similar.
Plus, the left casts you into the role of the hero, who together with your brothers and sisters is about to vanquish those evil right-wing racists. In doing so you’re saying poor oppressed minority groups, and nature as well. And your actions will usher in a utopia.
Or on the right, you and your brothers and sisters are the heroes who are about to vanquish those crazy leftists who would otherwise destroy America, which obviously is the only free country in the world. So really, you’re the last defenders of freedom anywhere, and you’re about to win.
In both cases, you’re intelligent and moral, and the other half of the country is dumb and evil, and hence you’re better than half the country. Not through any action you did, but purely because you adopted the correct ideology -- which took no effort on your part.
Obviously, that is emotionally comforting, and again, survival mode is about meeting your needs (such as emotional well-being) rather than truth or morality.
Still, 2025 US mainstream left and right wing ideologies are honestly kind of insane. They’ve become vehicles for people in survival mode to get their needs met, and therefore they have become more emotionally appealing to their base while leaving truth and morality behind (e.g. the left telling women they’re oppressed). Because after all, most voters are in survival mode, so that’s what appeals to them.
A truth-based party wouldn’t actually be that popular, because the truth doesn’t feel as good as the standard left-wing or right-wing package of beliefs. It just feels emotionally better to hear that your side is saving the country, while everyone on the other side is dumb and evil and you’re better than them.
Now it’s really easy to think that OTHER people are indeed believing in flawed ideologies because they’re in survival mode. However, keep in mind that there’s a decent chance that you yourself are at least to a degree in survival mode too, and hence also believe in untrue things because they help you get your needs met (such as emotional well-being).
Maybe you think “well I see both parties as garbage, therefore I’m not in survival mode.” It’s possible you genuinely aren’t, however, some people in survival mode go the “enlightened centrist” route, where they believe that everyone is a mouth-drooling idiot aside from them, and only they are smart enough to perceive that. Plus they might think the truth is at the exact middle point between both sides.
Which is another way to feel better than other people, and it’s not true. Yes both sides are highly flawed, however both sides aren’t equally flawed, and the truth isn’t in the exact middle between the left and right.
Furthermore, there are genuinely good and intelligent people on both the left and right too. Plus the left and right have certain truthful, courageous, good moral principles too (as well as nonsense, but still). Both the left and right have people volunteering at homeless shelters, etc.
The black pill idea, that literally everyone with any amount of is evil / is a dark controller puppet, also isn’t accurate and is just a way for people to guard their heart from further disappointment. Yes, currently most people in power are evil / corrupt / dark controller puppets, but not literally everyone is. And some people are merely gray hats, not black hats.
Though again, yes, some people genuinely aren’t in survival mode and don’t fall into any of these categories.
Still, most people are in survival mode, and to get their needs met they’ve bought into the left or right wing standard package of ideas. Even though both packages contain obvious nonsense.
Let me spell out some of the obvious nonsense on both the left and right. Now obviously you’re free to disagree with me, however if I convince you that a belief you held was false, then that may be a good start for personal inquiry. Why did you believe that, then? Did you ever make a conscious choice to believe in that? Could you perhaps be at least slightly in survival mode?
Ultimately in the medium term it’s better to live in the truth. For both yourself and for the people around you.
Let’s dive in. And when I say “the left” I obviously don’t mean “literally every single person on the left”.
It’s pretty crazy that half of you think that the world will be amazing if only the left can be defeated, and half of you believe that the world will be amazing if only the right can be defeated.
I know that’s the situation you’re in and hence it feels normal, but how does it make sense that both political halves of humanity firmly believe that they’re completely right, the other side is completely wrong?
There are people on the other side who are more intelligent, more experienced and better-read than you are. Does it really sound plausible that you’re 100% right and they’re 100% wrong?
Doesn’t it sound more plausible that both sides have some good points and some flaws?
But then, why is practically no one actually genuinely listening to the other side?
At most people listen to the other political side to figure out how to convince those people to politically convert them. But that’s not really unconditional listening to someone. If the other side has good points, why is no one truly listening to the other side?
Most people have fully bought into the entire package of left-wing (or right-wing) belief systems. It’s gotten to the point that if you hear someone say one left-wing (or right-wing) opinion, then you almost certainly know all their political opinions. Even though, theoretically speaking, if you know someone’s stance on gun control, you shouldn’t automatically know their stance on solar power, because those things have little to do with each other.
Which illustrates that people are just adopting the entire package of ideas from their side due to survival mode, because that’s what helps meet their needs the best, and people in survival mode don’t care about truth or morality.
Because if people were rationally thinking, how come pretty much everyone has either the full left-wing, or the full right-wing package of ideas?
For example, Marx said: “Under no pretext should arms and ammunition be surrendered; any attempt to disarm the workers must be frustrated, by force if necessary.” So logically speaking you would expect quite a few left-wing people to be pro-gun, because Marx was. But almost no left-wingers are pro-gun, because the standard package of left-wing ideas is anti-gun.
It might be tempting to say that you hold the standard package of political beliefs from your side because those are simply all the correct beliefs, and your side is simply completely right. However, note that both Democratic and Republican administrations have failed to fix the country, and both blue and red states are experiencing severe problems. How can this be if your ideology is so perfect?
Now sure, it could genuinely be true that administrations and states from your side do better than those from the other side, but if they’re still not doing that well overall, then that just suggests that your side is merely less flawed. Not that all the ideas from your side are the correct ones.
Also, if you think back to literally any time in your history, you will probably think that those people held some incorrect views. So then, what is the probability that you yourself have 100% correct views?
If the other side were to present data or evidence that shows that they’re correct and your side is wrong, then be honest -- would you really open-mindedly examine that evidence, and change over to the other side on that point if they’re correct? Or would you look away, or use a thought-terminating cliche, or find any detail that’s slightly off and then use that as an excuse to reject the complete argument?
If you truly and honestly think things through and do research, you will find that many (though not all) people on both the left and the right believe in untrue things.
For example, an untrue thing the left believes in is that illegal immigration is fine, or at least that isn’t a big problem. But it clearly is. Just because the media you listen to says that it’s not a problem, doesn’t mean that it actually is not a problem.
Google “average IQ by country” and go to images, and you’ll find maps saying that many sub-saharan African countries have somewhere around 70 average IQ. And that’s an average, which means that some of those people have less IQ than that. Look, Western societies are so complex that people with that level of IQ just aren’t going to be able to function well in it, even if they have good intentions (and not all of those people do).
The left loves to say “the US is a nation of immigrants”, but historically immigration to the US was mostly from Europe. It’s not accurate to imply that importing a 100 IQ German is the same as importing a 70 IQ sub-Saharan African, who might be illiterate, may not speak a word of English, may have a completely different cultural and religious background, and may have completely different values and ways of thinking.
So just because importing Germans worked well for the US historically, doesn’t mean that any type of immigrant is going to perform as well. You can’t just pretend that all immigrants are pretty much the same.
It’s not a sufficient rebuttal to say “well these IQ differences aren’t genetic, sub-saharan Africans have 70 IQ due to bad nutrition in their youth and lack of books in their youth.” Well that still means that you’ll have a 70 IQ person in your society for the rest of their lifespan, which is likely to be many decades. And that obviously contradicts the left-wing narrative that immigration is either neutral or beneficial, and that all immigrants are all basically interchangeable.
Another untrue thing the left believes in is that men and women are the same. They’re not, and the “both partners should have the same roles” gender relations that the left promotes doesn’t work for most people.
Society has been moving in the direction of the gender roles that the left wants, and during that time divorce rates have spiked, relationship rates have plummeted and most young men and women agree that dating has become a nightmare.
Modern-day young women are on average less happy than their grandmothers, despite living in a society that is closer to the left-wing gender ideal than their grandmothers did. Plus society gives modern women all kinds of rights and positive discrimination that their grandmothers didn’t have, yet women are unhappier. That’s because abolishing gender roles doesn’t work for most people.
For example, the left is discriminating against men when it comes to hiring for high positions. Hence there are more high-earning women. However while men are generally willing to date women who earn less, many women aren’t willing to date men who earn less.
So the left’s policies lead to more high-earning women and less high-earning men than previously. And practically speaking these higher-earning women often don’t find a partner and subsequently aren’t happy, because they’re refusing to date poorer men, while men being kept out of high-earning positions.
Plus many men aren’t attracted to career women / “girl bosses.” So even the high-earning men who do exist may very well choose to date non-career women, and hence they are unavailable as partners to career women.
You can say that men should suck it up and go make more money and then date career women, but saying that isn’t actually a solution. The math doesn’t work, plus men have preferences too which they’re not just going to discard.
To make the math work, you would also have to shame women into dating poorer men. And the left of course is only interested in shaming men, and not in shaming women.
So this left-wing ideal of abolishing gender roles and having roughly half of all high positions be occupied by women sounds good on paper, but it doesn’t work in practice, because men and women are different.
And if you try to fight human nature, human nature wins.
The left cares shockingly little about what reality is actually like. They mostly just care about liberal values and about what they want to be true and about what sounds good on paper. And then they try to push that through without being curious about what reality is actually like.
But you have to actually study reality first if you want to make policy that actually works in reality. And shockingly few left-wingers do so.
Another issue is that throughout history, people have made the common-sense point that you simply cannot allow net tax takers to vote. (Net tax takers are people who get more money from the government than they pay in taxes.)
Why? Because they’ll keep voting for more and more and more free stuff from the government, and voting for more and more and more taxes. Because that’s a net benefit to them. They get more free stuff, and they’re not paying those increased taxes anyway.
In the medium term, making the government hand out our ever-increasing amounts of free stuff, while raising taxes ever higher, obviously destroys society.
Hence you cannot let net tax taking people vote.
This is why historically only property-owning men could vote. Yes, very evil, very oppressive, but only giving property-owning men a vote means that only net tax payers get a vote. Hence you don’t have the problem of people voting for ever more free stuff and higher taxes. Because net taxpayers aren’t going to keep voting for more taxes.
Now, in the modern day you can avoid the problem by giving the vote to any net tax payer, regardless of any gender. And you can also say that if two people are married, they both get a vote if combined they’re net tax payers. That way a stay-at-home wife can vote if her husband is sufficiently productive, which is of course fine.
This would mean that immigrants on welfare don’t get to vote, while productive immigrants who are net tax payers do get to vote. Which many people will think is a good thing.
Still, the left probably won’t like the idea of poor people and immigrants on welfare not having a vote.
And they’ll like this idea even less if they realize that on average, men are net tax payers, and women are net tax takers. (Which isn’t caused by gender discrimination, as has been repeatedly shown. Sure you can always find some discriminating company somewhere, but the vast vast vast majority of companies aren’t paying women less for the same work. If companies discriminate, they usually discriminate in favor of women.)
Hence, “only net taxpayers get a vote” is theoretically gender-neutral, but means in practice that more men than women would have a vote.
So most of the left is going to oppose this, even though it’s still self-evident that something like this is necessary.
Most of the left will just go “well I want everyone to have a vote because that’s the moral principle I believe in” even though a bit of logic clearly shows that it just doesn’t work. And you can’t prioritize what sounds nice over what actually works.
Also, the left has also been saying for something like five decades straight that climate change will severely damage civilization in the near future. Yet it keeps not happening, and yet left-wingers keep believing it.
Here’s one example out of many. Ecologist Kenneth Watt said in 1970: “The world has been chilling sharply for about 20 years. If present trends continue, the world will be about 4 degrees colder for the global mean temperature in 1990 but 11 degrees colder in the year 2000. This is about twice what it would take to put us into an ice age.”
Did you notice Earth getting 11 degrees colder between 1970 and 2000, and a new Ice Age starting? Me neither.
Sure, one failed prediction isn’t a big deal, but it’s not just one failed prediction. It’s a mountain of failed predictions. If the right continually predicted something that never came to pass, you would rightfully call them out on that.
Now let’s turn to the right.
Economist Piketty showed that if the rate of return on capital is persistently higher than overall economic growth, then that leads to increased wealth concentration (unless counteracted).
So basically, and to go a bit further than Piketty did: you have to put high taxes on the rich and mega-corporations (not on the middle class), because otherwise the rich and mega-corporations snowball their wealth out of control.
And when their wealth snowballs out of control, they start doing silly things like buying up all the houses, or bribing politicians to let in millions of immigrants so they can reduce their labor costs, or brainwashing the population via their personal news outlet.
It’s not some weird glitch in the system that you’re now suddenly living under crony capitalism. If you don’t tax the rich enough, then they snowball their wealth, and then they corrupt capitalism into crony capitalism. Because that’s profitable for them.
If you don’t implement high taxes on the rich, then you have a form of capitalism that degrades over time. So you can’t say “look at the history of capitalism, clearly it works” because the version of capitalism you’re advocating for is one that degrades over time.
Roughly speaking, the US stopped putting high taxes on the rich around 1981. And that’s also around the time when the rich started snowballing their wealth, while the middle class stopped getting richer (despite increasing their productivity more and more).
The 1950 - 1970s period that the American right idealizes as America’s golden age, back when an average white guy could support a family off one income? Well taxes on the rich were very high during that period.
This is a critical point. The cornerstone of right-wing ideology is “just implement our economic agenda and the rising tide will lift all boats.” However, that statement is simply false, because wealth snowballs without high taxes on the rich, and hence pure capitalism degrades over time.
A common rebuttal is that if you tax the rich more, they’ll just leave and then you get less tax revenue in total. But that simply isn’t true in actual reality. It sounds smart and it sounds like it’s true, but it’s not true. Turns out rich people are humans too, and they’re not just profit-optimizing machines. Besides, it can genuinely make economic sense for a rich person to stay in America despite heavy taxes, just because economic opportunities in the US are plentiful.
States can simply agree with each other that no one is going to engage in a race-to-the-bottom by dropping their tax rate on the rich. And then all states win, because the US is simply too lucrative not to do business in. This is what right-wingers should be championing (and left-wingers will gladly agree to this).
Another common rebuttal is “well the rich already pay this huge percentage of taxes, they shouldn’t pay even more.”
Well, one, inequality is huge, so of course the very rich pay the lion’s share of taxes. But does that mean that taxing them more is unfair, or that wealth inequality is way too high and should be addressed?
And second, this is a “we shouldn’t do this because my ideology says it’s bad” type of argument that the right normally mocks the left over. After all, putting ideology aside -- higher taxes on the rich work.
Strategically, so long as the right refuses to put high taxes on the rich, the left can just keep pointing out that the right’s economic agenda only works for those who are already well-off. And the left is correct about this.
I wouldn’t implement the default left-wing or right-wing economic agenda, but if I had to choose between them (and wasn’t considering immigration), I would implement the left-wing economic agenda. Primarily due to this.
If you implement the standard right-wing economic agenda, you get corporate tyranny, where people in theory are free but practically speaking are economically enslaved.
Plus, the right loves to say that right-wing governments are more fiscally responsible. However, during Trump’s first term he increased the deficit and debt. Even before covid. That was in large part because of his tax breaks which disproportionality (though not exclusively) benefitted the rich. Tax breaks for the non-rich are fine, but tax breaks for the rich aren’t.
Conversely, left-wing governments aren’t very fiscally responsible either, but they do better than the right typically gives them credit for. That is because of their tendency to raise taxes on the rich, which actually helps stabilize government finances (and it reduces inequality, which is a benefit in and of itself).
Next up:
Another untrue thing that some people on the right believe in is that if only the government would get out of the way, then things would be great. But in reality, that leads to (quasi)-monopolies, cartels, company towns and companies destroying nature. It leads to an under-funding of public goods (roads, power grids, food safety inspections). It leads to billionaires buying news outlets in order to censor the truth and brainwash the population. And it wouldn’t stop companies from offshoring American jobs, or from importing Indians and having them work for cheap.
A right-winger might retort that the left-wing agenda is communism and therefore it’s empty shelves and starvation, however most actual left-wingers in 2025 aren’t in favor of communism. What the actual left wants is something like the European model, which sure, isn’t perfect, but it’s not communism and it’s not empty shelves.
Frankly, quality of life is higher in some European countries than it is in the US, even though European countries are often resource-poor and don’t always have a large amount of good agricultural land.
Some people on the right love to claim that the economy is doing well, therefore young people should stop complaining and just work harder and stop making bad choices. However, the claim “the economy is doing well” is based on GDP figures and stock market performance, figures that don’t actually help young people out. Young adults have little or no stock.
The claim is also based on unemployment figures, but those are manipulated, plus this merely means that young adults can find a job, not that they can find a job that lets them buy a house and support a family. In reality, young adults really are getting squeezed unreasonably hard today. And many right-wingers are turning a blind eye, because they already own a house so it’s great for them that house prices are skyrocketing. Even though that screws over the next generation.
What we’re seeing in these arguments is that both the modern left and right have packages of ideas that are emotionally satisfying and perhaps beneficial to their base (or to donors). However, neither the left nor right prioritizes truth. And that doesn’t work.
The left prioritizes (an imperfect form of) love above truth.
If this sounds like an extreme statement, well it’s accurate. According to the left, a person with a penis and XY chromosomes and a normal male body, is a woman if they say they’re a woman.
And much of the left wants you to be punished if you refuse to say “she” to this person, or if you oppose putting them in a women’s prison if they commit a crime, or if you oppose letting them play women’s sports. Because that’s what “trans rights” actually means.
This is clearly a prioritization of (a form of) love over truth. Because obviously a person with a penis and XY chromosomes and a normal male body, isn’t a woman. Now you can maybe make an argument that after surgery this person is a woman, but that’s not the argument that the left is making.
Note that the left doesn’t allow white people to claim that they’re black (see Rachel Dolezal). And the left also refuses to stop calling certain people nazis even if the people in question disagree with being labeled as such. Hence “you must honor people’s claimed identity” isn’t a position the left has.
Instead it’s about love / caretaking / protection of perceived vulnerable people, regardless of truth / logical consistency. Or in short, it’s love over truth.
Even if you agree with the left on their trans position, you can’t deny that this is a prioritization of love over truth.
Even if you think this trans position prevents harm, well that still doesn’t make it true.
Another way in which the left prioritizes love over truth is that the left doesn’t want crime statistics of immigrants to be published. (Which contradicts the left-wing position that illegal immigration isn’t a problem, because how come your own side doesn’t want those crime statistics to be published then? Besides, how can you say that illegal immigrants aren’t a problem if you yourself haven’t seen those crime statistics?)
The left also generally didn’t want even experts and doctors being allowed to speak out against the covid job or covid lockdowns.
Similarly, the right prioritizes (an imperfect form of) freedom over truth, and that’s also wrong.
For example, the right likes to tell a story that America is this noble country, and everyone has been taking advantage of poor innocent America, and hence it’s good and proper that America under Trump is taking the freedom to act in nakedly self-serving ways on the world stage. Even if that means violating international law, bombing people, murdering people, etc. So long as Trump says it’s ok, then it’s ok.
“Everyone is taking advantage of poor, noble, innocent America” simply isn’t true. Now sure, America has absolutely done good things, however during approximately 90-95% of its years, the US has engaged in some kind of military action against foreigners. Even though the US is geographically so safe that it really doesn’t need to be constantly murdering foreigners. Yet, it does.
Most right-wingers consider it to not such a big deal if their country sanctions or blockades another country, even though this is the modern equivalent of a siege. For example, sanctions against Iraq killed half a million children (https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.
Killing half a million Iraqi children is just one example. America sanctions many, many countries.
How would the US feel if another country indirectly killed half a million American children? Well, that’s what you did to Iraq.
A lot of right-wingers view Jews as perhaps the most evil or problematic people on the planet, because AIPAC and certain other Jewish individuals and organizations indeed have excessive influence over the US. Yet on the other hand, the US has installed something like 20 - 60 puppet leaders in other countries, depending on how exactly you define “puppet leader.” And the right doesn’t care.
If the US does something to another country, it’s no big deal. If another country does something to the US, it’s the most evil thing in the world.
If you ask a random person on Earth which country is the greatest threat to world peace, then the country with the highest probability of being named isn’t Israel. It’s the US.
Trump said the US was “keeping the oil” of Syria, when US troops occupied part of Syria.
(The person pretending to be) Trump also recently seized a Venezuelan oil tanker. Wasn’t Venezuela supposed to be an anti-drug operation? Then why seize an oil tanker? Unless the Venezuela operation is really about oil -- Venezuela has the largest proven oil reserves in the world, after all. And frankly if you actually want to launch an anti-drug operation, Venezuela isn’t the primary country you would go after.
America often sets fire to some part of the world, and right-wing Americans then pretend they have zero obligation to those people or those refugees, when in fact it was America that set the fire in the first place. America’s destabilization of Middle Eastern countries is well known.
The US also facilitated the 2014 coup in Ukraine, without which the current Ukraine war may not have happened. So maybe the Europeans aren’t leeches. Maybe the US poked the bear with a stick and then let Europeans deal with the bear when it got angry.
Also, Biden said this:
Biden: “If Russia invades — that means tanks or troops crossing the border of Ukraine again — then there will be — there will be no longer a Nord Stream 2 [which is a gas pipeline from Russia to Germany]. We will bring an end to it.”
Reporter: “But how will you do that, exactly, since the project and control of the project is within Germany’s control?”
Biden: “We will — I promise you, we’ll be able to do it.”
And oh look, later Nord Stream 2 was blown up. And so Germany could no longer buy Russian gas, and instead it had to buy much more expensive US LNG. And Germany is struggling greatly financially because of that, and then Trump told Germany to spend more money on defense which effectively means buying more US weapons.
Yes, the US sure sounds like the noble innocent country that just gets taken advantage of by greedy Europeans.
The US also engaged in slavery.
And the US commited genocide on native Americans.
Plus, it’s quite self-serving that the US used genocide to conquer a huge amount of rich land for themselves, and after that they said that everyone else wasn’t allowed to commit genocide or conquer territory.
Now this doesn’t mean that America is all bad, or that other countries are all good.
Sure, America does good things, and sure, other countries do bad things too. And sure, if another country was as powerful as America is, they would probably do more bad things than they’re currently doing.
Still, the right-wing narrative about shining, free, noble America with good intentions, while all the other countries are either trying to take advantage of America or are unfree quasi-dictatorships, really isn’t truthful.
If you want to defend America by saying that any other country in America’s shoes would have done the same:
One, that’s not true, because countries are run by people and not every person is willing to murder foreigners in order to achieve geopolitical objectives. It’s simply not accurate to claim that every single person is a murderer.
And two, even if that is true, that would merely make America just another country, no better or worse than others. That’s a long way off from the right-wing narrative of America being this uniquely free shining city on the hill.
It’s a motte-and-bailey fallacy: the actual claim is that America is this uniquely moral country, and when that’s attacked the defense amounts to “well America isn’t worse than other countries.” But America arguably not being worse than other countries doesn’t make it more moral than pretty much everyone else, which is what the claim was.
So this right-wing narrative isn’t true.
And without the untrue right-wing narrative that America is this uniquely free, uniquely moral, shining city on the hill that other countries just take advantage of, there’s also a lot less justification for Trump taking the freedom to wield threats and tariffs and sanctions against other countries. And occasionally bomb them or murder their people or seize their oil tanker or oil field.
Most right-wing Americans hated it when China limited rare Earth exports to the US, even though the US does things like that to other countries all the time.
Right-wing Americans simply want their country to have the freedom to act in nakedly self-serving ways, and they tell an untrue story to justify that. But that’s putting freedom over truth.
And yes, average Americans are getting squeezed and need help. But it wasn’t Syria or Venezuela or Yemen who squeezed average Americans. Hence it’s not justified to steal Syrian oil, or seize a Venezuelan oil tanker, or bomb the Houthis.
Truth has to come before love or freedom, even though as I just illustrated, neither the left nor the right prioritizes truth.
Moreover, both the left and the right are mistreating people who aren’t in their ingroup to a frankly unacceptable degree. Now yes, it is acceptable to treat people in your ingroup better than people in your outgroup. However it’s not acceptable to harshly mistreat people in your outgroup. Which both the left and the right do.
For example, in actual practice, the left discriminates against men.
The left says that the West isn’t defined by the whiteness of their citizens, and instead the West is defined by its values of liberalism, fairness, meritocracy, et cetera.
Well, you can’t define the West in that way and then proceed to discriminate against men, in unfair, anti-meritocratic ways.
By their own logic that means the left is destroying the West.
It’s clear that this anti-male discrimination is happening. And it’s clear that it’s unjustified, because men actually aren’t privileged in the West in 2025. For arguments, see previous messages “Hakann: It’s not normal how men are being treated” or “Tunia: female supremacism.”
On top of that, the left thinks that under no circumstances should men be allowed to work to benefit specifically men. That’s sexism, misogyny, woman hate, harmful, discrimination, patriarchy, old boys’s network, glass ceiling, toxic masculinity, incel behavior, far-right, etc etc etc.
Even if a man does something benign like build a shelter for abused men, you’ll find some women saying it shouldn’t be funded:
As men are getting destroyed, the left is mostly concerned with making sure they don’t say mean or so-called “harmful” words. As they’re being destroyed.
And of course, under no circumstances should whites be allowed to work to benefit whites. That’s white supremacism, racism, nazism, discrimination, etc.
But every group other than men, and whites, are allowed to work to organize and benefit themselves. And in fact, they do. And that’s considered perfectly normal and acceptable. No one calls that “female supremacism” or whatever.
The left mistreats men, and whites, this way. And the left is also naïve, because in actual reality, pretty much all groups except men and whites are promoting the interests of their own group.
Now, the right also mistreats people in their outgroup to an unacceptable degree.
The right isn’t very upset about Trump bombing Iran, or Trump bombing Yemen (which killed a significant number of civilians), or Trump enabling a genocide of Palestinians, or Trump illegally murdering Venezuelans without due process.
Right-wingers might cheer this on, or at most the right might say they dislike this because Trump should focus on America first. But that’s still a very minor objection against illegal murder.
Imagine if some other country murdered Americans without due process, just based on an unproven claim they were drug smugglers - in a situation where those Americans could have been arrested. Of course then the American right would label that as unacceptable. But when Trump does that to Venezuelans, the right doesn’t care very much.
So, I’ve given you a lot of examples. And there are many more. If you want to learn more such examples, just go talk to someone on the other political side, and genuinely listen to them. Sure, maybe most things they say are false, but they’ll have a few good points.
This all sounds quite uncomfortable. What is actually going on?
Well, as we said at the beginning: most people are in survival mode (to different degrees).
And people in survival mode discard truth and morality (without realizing they’re doing so), and instead they believe whatever helps them meet their needs.
Adopting the entire package of beliefs from one political side is great for helping you meet your needs.
Because your side will probably help you out materially if it gets into power.
And also, adopting the package of beliefs means half the country instantly believes you’re a great person, with no effort required on your part. This helps meet your psychological needs.
And adopting the package of beliefs means that now you’re suddenly fighting together with your brothers and sisters for a righteous purpose, and you’re about to defeat the villains on the other political side and save the innocents.
It makes you feel good. It lets you egoically elevate yourself above half the country and it gives you a community and a purpose.
But it’s not true.
Unfortunately, there’s a kind of “survival mode epidemic” going on. Some people went into survival mode, and they became politically extreme. And then people on the other political side “got infected” and became scared and hence they became politically more extreme too.
So. Did you hold a position that you now think may have been false or immoral? Obviously you’re free to think it through, or do your own research before answering that question.
If so, did you ever consciously adopt that position? Or did you just enter survival mode at some point and subconsciously adopt it in order to get certain needs met?
People in survival mode often don’t realize they’re in survival mode, because realizing that would cause distress, and the whole point of survival mode is that your system abandons truth in order to fulfill your needs, which include emotional well-being.
If you don’t think you’re in survival mode:
It’s certainly possible you’re not. Not everyone is.
If for example you’re doing 90+ minutes of meditation or yoga most days, that’s a good sign you’re not in survival mode. To be clear though, for most people 90 minutes of meditation per day would be too long. I’m also not saying that 90 minutes of meditation is a requirement.
Alternatively, another good sign that you’re not in survival mode is if you are currently investing a large amount of time or energy or resources into helping others, in ways that don’t benefit yourself. And that’s great, because this helps get others out of survival mode.
If you’re doing something that helps others, but that also helps yourself -- that could illustrate that you’re not in survival mode. But you also might be in survival mode and just use that for your own benefit.
Critiquing others can be valid and can sometimes be helpful, but that also could just be you wanting to elevate yourself above others.
You might engage in political activism and feel that’s beneficial, but as we discussed, that also clearly benefits yourself. Besides, for the reason we’ve discussed, pushing the flawed standard package of ideas of your side may very well make the other side feel less safe, and thereby it might not actually make the world a better place. Even if your side is mostly right.
Now, if you are in survival mode:
Look, it’s okay. Most people are.
Besides, Earth is unbelievably harsh. So it makes sense to be in survival mode.
It’s not your fault.
You’re doing great.
You are entirely worthy of love, as you are, right now.
But if you are in survival mode, then try to realize which of your needs aren’t being met, and if possible try to meet those needs in more direct, conscious and straightforward ways.
And be aware that it’s possible that you currently believe in untrue or immoral things, or that you’re not truly empathizing with others, and that you’re not seeing how hard others and other groups have it. This isn’t through any defect on your part, it’s just because right now you’re in survival mode.
Meeting your needs (plus some time) will get you out of survival mode.
Spiritual practice, such as observing whatever arises, can contribute to your mental well-being, and help get you out of survival mode in the medium term.

Francamente, yo esperaba y esperaba que a estas alturas tu situación de vida fuera mucho mejor de lo que es en realidad y que ya nos hubiéramos conocido físicamente.
Las operaciones encubiertas galácticas han aumentado en número e intensidad. Pero, en la práctica, eso por sí solo no se traduce en resultados inmediatos.
Es probable que el consejo de Ashtar decida un plan aproximadamente alrededor del año nuevo y se lo comunique entonces. Podría ser justo antes de la Tierra Nueva o unos días después del Año Nuevo. Aún no lo sé.
Dicho esto, pasemos al mensaje de hoy, que es la primera parte de una serie de dos partes.
Tanto la primera como la segunda parte serán largas, emotivas, controvertidas y políticamente incorrectas. Si no te apetece leer un mensaje así, puedes saltarte esta serie.
De todos modos, aquí está:
Las personas necesitan que se satisfagan sus necesidades y las de su endogrupo. Por eso se llaman "necesidades".
Las necesidades no son solo alojamiento y comida. También son bienestar emocional, sentirse seguro, sentir que el futuro estará bien, recibir amor y aprecio de los demás, tener un propósito, sentir que la vida tiene sentido, sentir que comprendes y puedes predecir las acciones de quienes te rodean (algo que se ve alterado por la llegada de inmigrantes de culturas muy diferentes), etc.
La mayoría de la gente solía tener esas necesidades (en su mayoría) satisfechas. En Estados Unidos, la norma era que un cristiano blanco se casara con otro cristiano blanco y vivieran en una comunidad cristiana blanca donde todos se conocían. En ese contexto, la gente prácticamente tenía cubiertas sus necesidades. Claro que no tenían un iPhone, pero esa no es una necesidad humana, mientras que la comunidad y el propósito sí lo son.
Sin embargo, hoy en día, la mayoría de las personas no tienen satisfechas sus necesidades. Es posible que los jóvenes no las hayan satisfecho plenamente en toda su vida. Las personas mayores pueden no haber tenido satisfechas sus necesidades en décadas.
¿Qué pasa con las personas que persistentemente no ven satisfechas sus necesidades?
Recuerda que las necesidades son necesidades. Tu sistema (tu cuerpo, sistema nervioso, subconsciente, etc.) no puede ignorar la falta de satisfacción de sus necesidades durante largos periodos.
Bueno, si las personas no satisfacen sus necesidades, entran en modo de supervivencia.
Y sí, esto implica lógicamente que la mayoría de la gente hoy en día está en modo supervivencia. Y de hecho lo están.
Es fácil imaginar cómo sería el modo de supervivencia si el problema es la falta de comida. Pero ¿cómo se manifiesta cuando el problema es la falta de amor, la falta de propósito, la falta de pertenencia y un declive progresivo?
Bueno, en ese caso, el modo de supervivencia significa que el sistema de creencias de las personas se convierte en "lo que me ayude a satisfacer mis necesidades". Independientemente de si esas creencias son verdaderas o morales. Eso es lo que hace el modo de supervivencia en ese caso.
Es por esto que muchas personas se niegan a aceptar que la vacuna contra la covid fue perjudicial, a pesar de que cada mes aparecen más pruebas de ello.
Después de todo, a las personas en modo de supervivencia no les importa la verdad ni la moral. Solo les importa satisfacer sus propias necesidades y las de su endogrupo, y el bienestar emocional es una de ellas. Aceptar que la inyección fue dañina perturbaría su bienestar emocional. Así que la gente, literalmente, se niega a creerlo, porque están en modo de supervivencia.
Así que esa afirmación clásica "¡No puedes soportar la verdad!" es cierta para las personas en modo de supervivencia, pero no es cierta para las personas que no están en modo de supervivencia.
Esto demuestra que la idea del sombrero gris de "presionar a la gente hasta que despierte a la verdad" no funciona en absoluto. Presionar a la gente los pone en modo de supervivencia, y es precisamente entonces cuando no pueden manejar la verdad.
Ahora bien, sí, estoy generalizando y cada persona es diferente. Algunos buscan la verdad prácticamente sin importar las circunstancias. Sin embargo, la mayoría la descarta una vez que se encuentran en modo supervivencia.
Las personas en modo de supervivencia también carecen de empatía y comprensión reales sobre cómo es la vida de quienes no pertenecen a su endogrupo. El modo de supervivencia es como ahogarse psicológicamente, y quienes se ahogan no dedican mucho esfuerzo mental a intentar empatizar verdaderamente con los demás.
En cambio, las personas en modo de supervivencia a menudo juzgan a otras personas (sin darse cuenta de que lo están haciendo) y crean hombres de paja a partir de ellas.
Por ejemplo, la derecha llama comunistas a la izquierda, y la izquierda, nazis a la derecha, aunque normalmente esos términos no son precisos. Se trata simplemente de gente en modo supervivencia atacando a un hombre de paja (psicológicamente conveniente).
Parte de la razón por la que muchos judíos son francamente poco empáticos con los no judíos es que se sienten amenazados. Y si te sientes amenazado (sea o no justificado), entras en modo supervivencia. Y entonces tu verdadera empatía se apaga.
De igual manera, muchas mujeres se sienten inseguras, lo que significa que dejan de ser empáticas con personas ajenas a su endogrupo. Para las mujeres que no tienen hijos varones, esto generalmente significa que dejan de ser empáticas con los hombres promedio (aunque aún pueden ser empáticas con sus familiares, su pareja, hombres que consideran que hacen grandes cosas, etc.).
Las personas en modo de supervivencia suelen decir a los demás: «Debes hacer esto o no hacer aquello para beneficiarme a mí o a mi grupo». Incluso si la persona a la que se lo dicen está en una situación aún peor que la suya. Por eso vemos a mujeres diciéndoles a los hombres que deberían hacer esto o aquello, aunque los hombres lo estén pasando peor que las mujeres en Occidente en 2025. (Pero, claro, las mujeres están en modo de supervivencia y, por lo tanto, no ven que los hombres lo estén peor que ellas en general).
Las personas en modo de supervivencia generalmente piden empatía pero no la devuelven.
La gente en modo supervivencia generalmente quiere que los escuches, pero luego no te escucharán.
Esto no se debe a que sean personas intrínsecamente malvadas. Es porque están en modo de supervivencia. Quienes se ahogan no son considerados, porque se están ahogando.
Bien, recapitulando: las personas que no ven satisfechas sus necesidades durante mucho tiempo entran en modo de supervivencia. Esto significa que descartan la verdad, la moral y la empatía, y solo se centran en satisfacer sus propias necesidades y las de su endogrupo. El modo de supervivencia solía ser bastante inusual, pero hoy en día la mayoría de los estadounidenses lo están. Y quienes están en modo de supervivencia no se dan cuenta de que lo están.
Ahora bien, el modo de supervivencia es un espectro. Algunas personas están sumidas en el modo de supervivencia y han descartado la verdad casi por completo. Estos son los ingenuos. Son quienes creen exactamente lo que la televisión les dice que crean.
Algunas personas viven en un estado de supervivencia, tienen creencias morales y veraces, ven verdades desagradables y no aceptan todas las partes de la narrativa dominante. Sin embargo, también pueden creer en ciertas cosas claramente falsas o inmorales que, sin embargo, les ayudan a satisfacer sus necesidades.
No todos, pero la mayoría de las personas en la comunidad espiritual están ligeramente en modo de supervivencia.
Desafortunadamente, una persona en modo de supervivencia no suele darse cuenta de que lo está, porque hacerlo le causaría angustia emocional, y el objetivo del modo de supervivencia es que la persona ya no puede lidiar con la vida. Por lo tanto, la verdad debe dejarse de lado momentáneamente para asegurar que la persona satisfaga sus necesidades (como el bienestar psicológico). Porque, después de todo, las necesidades son necesidades.
En términos generales, en la sociedad, cada grupo se encuentra en gran medida en modo de supervivencia, y por lo tanto, cada grupo percibe correctamente que los demás son algo irracionales, inmorales y poco empáticos (por ejemplo, eso es lo que la izquierda y la derecha, hombres y mujeres, suelen pensar unos de otros). Sin embargo, no pueden ver que ellos mismos también son irracionales, inmorales y poco empáticos. Porque eso es lo que hace el modo de supervivencia.
Por ejemplo, muchas personas espirituales creen que porque tienen cierto nivel de avance espiritual, o porque son amor y luz, o porque no dicen cosas negativas, o porque son veganos, son mejores que los demás, punto.
Ahora bien, obviamente es bueno tener cierto nivel de avance espiritual.
Por otro lado, todos los caminos conducen, en última instancia, a la fuente. Una persona que sigue el camino espiritual no es intrínsecamente mejor que quien no lo hace. Además, algunas personas que no practican la espiritualidad son, sin embargo, personas amables y decentes que ayudan a los demás y contribuyen a la sociedad.
La espiritualidad es maravillosa. Sin embargo, algunas personas espirituales viven en modo supervivencia y usan una forma retorcida de espiritualidad para satisfacer sus necesidades.
Algunas personas espirituales juzgan a los demás, afirmando que juzgar es malo (a menudo de forma sutil, condescendiente e indirecta). Y estas personas espirituales no se dan cuenta de que juzgan a los demás, porque si se dieran cuenta, serían malos o espiritualmente inmaduros según sus propios estándares.
O las personas espirituales podrían decir que aman a todos, que no son divisivos, que la división es mala, etc. Y luego, poco después, hacen un comentario sutil sobre cómo todos en el otro lado político son malos, o cómo las personas de SU lado político realmente se preocupan por el tema X, lo que implica que son moralmente superiores.
O las personas espirituales de “amor y luz” hacen un comentario sutil acerca de cómo las personas espirituales que están más dispuestas a decir cosas “negativas” son espiritualmente inferiores a ellos.
Obviamente, no todas las personas espirituales son así. Obviamente, la espiritualidad es maravillosa. Y el amor y la luz son un camino totalmente válido, y quienes siguen este camino ciertamente no siempre se comportan así.
Aun así, estos son ejemplos de modo de supervivencia, porque la persona espiritual mal portada de nuestros ejemplos actúa de una manera que no es veraz ni moral. Sin embargo, sus acciones satisfacen sus necesidades: se sienten mejor consigo mismos al actuar con superioridad sobre los demás. Y tal vez incluso logren que los demás los aprecien si usan trucos retóricos para menospreciar a los demás.
De igual manera, una persona en modo supervivencia puede adherirse plenamente a la ideología del bando político que le resulte más ventajoso a nivel personal y a su endogrupo. Aun así, un análisis racional revela que las ideologías dominantes de izquierda y derecha en Estados Unidos en 2025 son increíblemente erróneas, como explicaré más adelante en este mensaje.
¿Por qué la mayoría de la gente se adhiere a la ideología política de izquierda o derecha? Bueno, primero: los hombres blancos ricos suelen percibir que la derecha puede satisfacer sus necesidades, mientras que las mujeres negras pobres suelen percibir que la izquierda puede satisfacerlas. Así que la gente simplemente se inclina por el bando que puede satisfacerlas.
Además, si simplemente te identificas como izquierdista o derechista, medio país pensará que eres una persona buena y moral, simplemente porque estás en el bando político correcto. Y en una sociedad atomizada y dividida, eso ayuda a satisfacer tus necesidades. Y obtienes ese beneficio gratis en cuanto dices "sí, soy un patriota conservador" o algo similar.
Además, la izquierda te coloca en el papel de héroe, quien, junto con tus hermanos y hermanas, está a punto de derrotar a esos malvados racistas de derecha. Al hacerlo, estás perjudicando a las minorías oprimidas y también a la naturaleza. Y tus acciones marcarán el comienzo de una utopía.
O, a la derecha, tú y tus hermanos y hermanas son los héroes que están a punto de derrotar a esos izquierdistas desquiciados que, de otro modo, destruirían a Estados Unidos, que obviamente es el único país libre del mundo. Así que, en realidad, son los últimos defensores de la libertad en cualquier lugar, y están a punto de ganar.
En ambos casos, eres inteligente y moral, y la otra mitad del país es tonta y malvada, y por lo tanto eres mejor que la otra mitad. No por ninguna acción tuya, sino simplemente porque adoptaste la ideología correcta, lo cual no te costó ningún esfuerzo.
Obviamente, eso es emocionalmente reconfortante y, nuevamente, el modo de supervivencia se trata de satisfacer tus necesidades (como el bienestar emocional) en lugar de la verdad o la moralidad.
Aun así, las ideologías dominantes de izquierda y derecha en Estados Unidos en 2025 son, sinceramente, bastante descabelladas. Se han convertido en vehículos para que la gente, en modo de supervivencia, satisfaga sus necesidades y, por lo tanto, se han vuelto más atractivas emocionalmente para su base, dejando de lado la verdad y la moral (por ejemplo, la izquierda les dice a las mujeres que están oprimidas). Porque, al fin y al cabo, la mayoría de los votantes están en modo de supervivencia, y eso es lo que les atrae.
Un partido basado en la verdad no sería tan popular, porque la verdad no se siente tan bien como el típico paquete de creencias de izquierda o derecha. Simplemente se siente emocionalmente mejor escuchar que tu bando está salvando al país, mientras que todos los del otro bando son tontos y malvados, y que tú eres mejor que ellos.
Es muy fácil pensar que otras personas creen en ideologías erróneas porque están en modo de supervivencia. Sin embargo, recuerda que es muy probable que tú también estés, al menos en cierta medida, en modo de supervivencia y, por lo tanto, creas en cosas falsas porque te ayudan a satisfacer tus necesidades (como el bienestar emocional).
Quizás pienses: "Bueno, veo a ambos partidos como basura, así que no estoy en modo de supervivencia". Es posible que realmente no lo estés; sin embargo, algunas personas en modo de supervivencia optan por el "centrismo ilustrado", donde creen que todos son unos completos idiotas menos ellos, y solo ellos son lo suficientemente inteligentes como para percibirlo. Además, podrían pensar que la verdad está en el punto medio entre ambos bandos.
Lo cual es otra forma de sentirse mejor que los demás, y no es cierto. Sí, ambos lados tienen muchos defectos, pero no son igualmente defectuosos, y la verdad no está en el punto medio entre la izquierda y la derecha.
Además, tanto en la izquierda como en la derecha hay gente realmente buena e inteligente. Tanto la izquierda como la derecha tienen ciertos principios morales veraces, valientes y buenos (y también tonterías, pero aun así). Tanto la izquierda como la derecha tienen gente que hace voluntariado en albergues para personas sin hogar, etc.
La idea de la píldora negra, de que literalmente todos, con cualquier cantidad de poder, son malvados o títeres de los controladores oscuros, tampoco es precisa y es solo una forma de protegerse de más decepciones. Sí, actualmente la mayoría de las personas en el poder son malvados, corruptos o títeres de los controladores oscuros, pero no todos lo son. Y algunos son simplemente sombreros grises, no sombreros negros.
Aunque, de nuevo, sí, algunas personas realmente no están en modo de supervivencia y no entran en ninguna de estas categorías.
Aun así, la mayoría de la gente está en modo de supervivencia y, para satisfacer sus necesidades, se han adherido al paquete de ideas estándar de izquierda o derecha. Aunque ambos paquetes contienen evidentes disparates.
Permítanme explicarles algunas de las obvias tonterías tanto de la izquierda como de la derecha. Obviamente, son libres de discrepar conmigo, pero si los convenzo de que una creencia que tenían era falsa, podría ser un buen punto de partida para una indagación personal. ¿Por qué creyeron eso entonces? ¿Alguna vez tomaron la decisión consciente de creer en eso? ¿Podrían estar, al menos un poco, en modo supervivencia?
En definitiva, a medio plazo, es mejor vivir en la verdad. Tanto para ti como para quienes te rodean.
Vamos a sumergirnos en el tema. Y cuando digo “la izquierda”, obviamente no me refiero a “literalmente todas las personas de la izquierda”.
Es una locura que la mitad de ustedes piense que el mundo será maravilloso si sólo se puede derrotar a la izquierda, y la otra mitad crea que el mundo será maravilloso si sólo se puede derrotar a la derecha.
Sé que esa es la situación en la que te encuentras y por eso te parece normal, pero ¿cómo tiene sentido que ambas mitades políticas de la humanidad crean firmemente que tienen toda la razón y que el otro lado está completamente equivocado?
Hay gente del otro lado que es más inteligente, más experimentada y más culta que tú. ¿De verdad te parece plausible que tengas toda la razón y ellos estén totalmente equivocados?
¿No parece más plausible que ambas partes tengan algunos puntos buenos y algunos defectos?
Pero entonces, ¿por qué prácticamente nadie escucha realmente a la otra parte?
La mayoría de la gente escucha al otro bando político para convencerlos de que los conviertan políticamente. Pero eso no es realmente escuchar incondicionalmente a alguien. Si el otro bando tiene buenas razones, ¿por qué nadie lo escucha de verdad?
La mayoría de la gente ha adoptado plenamente el conjunto de creencias de izquierdas (o derechas). Se ha llegado al punto de que si escuchas a alguien expresar una opinión de izquierdas (o derechas), casi seguro que conoces todas sus opiniones políticas. Aunque, en teoría, si conoces la postura de alguien sobre el control de armas, no deberías conocer automáticamente su postura sobre la energía solar, porque ambas cosas tienen poco que ver entre sí.
Esto ilustra que las personas simplemente adoptan todo el paquete de ideas de su lado debido al modo de supervivencia, porque eso es lo que ayuda a satisfacer mejor sus necesidades, y las personas en modo de supervivencia no se preocupan por la verdad o la moralidad.
Porque si la gente pensara racionalmente, ¿cómo es posible que casi todo el mundo tenga el paquete completo de ideas de izquierda o de derecha?
Por ejemplo, Marx dijo: «Bajo ningún pretexto se deben entregar armas y municiones; cualquier intento de desarmar a los trabajadores debe ser frustrado, por la fuerza si es necesario». Así que, lógicamente, cabría esperar que bastantes izquierdistas estuvieran a favor de las armas, porque Marx lo estaba. Pero casi ningún izquierdista está a favor de las armas, porque el panorama general de la izquierda es antiarmas.
Podría ser tentador decir que usted mantiene el paquete estándar de creencias políticas porque simplemente son todas las correctas, y su bando tiene toda la razón. Sin embargo, tenga en cuenta que tanto las administraciones demócratas como las republicanas han fracasado en arreglar el país, y tanto los estados demócratas como los republicanos están experimentando graves problemas. ¿Cómo puede ser esto si su ideología es tan perfecta?
Claro, puede ser cierto que las administraciones y los estados de tu bando obtienen mejores resultados que los del otro, pero si aún no les va tan bien en general, eso solo indica que tu bando simplemente tiene menos defectos. No es que todas tus ideas sean correctas.
Además, si recuerdas literalmente cualquier momento de tu historia, probablemente pienses que esas personas tenían opiniones erróneas. Entonces, ¿cuál es la probabilidad de que tú mismo tengas opiniones 100% correctas?
Si la otra parte presentara datos o pruebas que demostraran que tiene razón y que la tuya está equivocada, sé honesto: ¿examinarías esa evidencia con la mente abierta y te inclinarías hacia la otra parte si tiene razón? ¿O harías la vista gorda, usarías un cliché que te quita el pensamiento, o encontrarías algún detalle ligeramente erróneo y lo usarías como excusa para rechazar todo el argumento?
Si piensas las cosas detenidamente y honestamente, descubrirás que muchas personas (aunque no todas), tanto de izquierda como de derecha, creen en cosas falsas.
Por ejemplo, algo falso en lo que cree la izquierda es que la inmigración ilegal está bien, o al menos no es un gran problema. Pero claramente lo es. Que los medios que escuchas digan que no es un problema no significa que realmente no lo sea.
Busca en Google "CI promedio por país" y busca imágenes. Encontrarás mapas que indican que muchos países del África subsahariana tienen un CI promedio de alrededor de 70. Y eso es un promedio, lo que significa que algunas personas tienen un CI inferior. Mira, las sociedades occidentales son tan complejas que las personas con ese CI simplemente no podrán desenvolverse bien en ellas, incluso con buenas intenciones (y no todas las tienen).
A la izquierda le encanta decir que "EE. UU. es una nación de inmigrantes", pero históricamente la inmigración a EE. UU. provenía principalmente de Europa. No es exacto insinuar que importar un alemán con un coeficiente intelectual de 100 es lo mismo que importar un africano subsahariano con un coeficiente intelectual de 70, que podría ser analfabeto, no hablar ni una palabra de inglés, tener un trasfondo cultural y religioso completamente diferente, y tener valores y formas de pensar completamente diferentes.
Así que, aunque importar alemanes haya funcionado bien para Estados Unidos históricamente, no significa que cualquier tipo de inmigrante vaya a tener el mismo éxito. No se puede simplemente pretender que todos los inmigrantes son prácticamente iguales.
No basta con refutar diciendo: «Bueno, estas diferencias de CI no son genéticas; los africanos subsaharianos tienen un CI de 70 debido a la mala nutrición y la falta de lectura en su juventud». Eso significa que habrá una persona con un CI de 70 en nuestra sociedad durante el resto de su vida, que probablemente durará muchas décadas. Y eso, obviamente, contradice la narrativa de la izquierda de que la inmigración es neutral o beneficiosa, y que todos los inmigrantes son básicamente intercambiables.
Otra falacia que la izquierda cree es que hombres y mujeres son iguales. No lo son, y la idea de que "ambos miembros de la pareja deben tener los mismos roles" que promueve no funciona para la mayoría de las personas.
La sociedad se ha estado moviendo en la dirección de los roles de género que quiere la izquierda, y durante ese tiempo las tasas de divorcio se han disparado, las tasas de relaciones se han desplomado y la mayoría de los hombres y mujeres jóvenes están de acuerdo en que las citas se han convertido en una pesadilla.
Las jóvenes de hoy en día son, en promedio, menos felices que sus abuelas, a pesar de vivir en una sociedad más cercana al ideal de género de izquierdas que la de sus abuelas. Además, la sociedad otorga a las mujeres modernas todo tipo de derechos y discriminación positiva que sus abuelas no tuvieron, y aun así, las mujeres son más infelices. Esto se debe a que abolir los roles de género no funciona para la mayoría de las personas.
Por ejemplo, la izquierda discrimina a los hombres a la hora de contratar para puestos altos. Por lo tanto, hay más mujeres con altos ingresos. Sin embargo, mientras que los hombres suelen estar dispuestos a salir con mujeres que ganan menos, muchas mujeres no están dispuestas a salir con hombres que ganan menos.
Así, las políticas de izquierda resultan en más mujeres con altos ingresos y menos hombres con altos ingresos que antes. Y, en la práctica, estas mujeres con altos ingresos a menudo no encuentran pareja y, por lo tanto, no son felices, porque se niegan a salir con hombres más pobres, mientras que los hombres se ven excluidos de puestos con altos ingresos.
Además, muchos hombres no se sienten atraídos por mujeres profesionales o "jefas femeninas". Por lo tanto, incluso los hombres con altos ingresos que existen podrían optar por salir con mujeres sin carrera, y por lo tanto, no estarían disponibles como parejas para ellas.
Se puede decir que los hombres deberían aguantarse, ganar más dinero y luego salir con mujeres profesionales, pero decir eso no es la solución. Las matemáticas no cuadran, además, los hombres también tienen preferencias que no van a descartar sin más.
Para que las matemáticas funcionen, también habría que avergonzar a las mujeres para que salgan con hombres más pobres. Y a la izquierda, por supuesto, solo le interesa avergonzar a los hombres, no a las mujeres.
Así pues, este ideal de izquierda de abolir los roles de género y tener aproximadamente la mitad de todos los altos cargos ocupados por mujeres suena bien en el papel, pero no funciona en la práctica, porque los hombres y las mujeres son diferentes.
Y si intentas luchar contra la naturaleza humana, la naturaleza humana gana.
A la izquierda le importa sorprendentemente poco cómo es la realidad. Solo les importan los valores liberales, lo que quieren que sea verdad y lo que suena bien en teoría. Y luego intentan imponerlo sin sentir curiosidad por cómo es la realidad.
Pero primero hay que estudiar la realidad si se quiere crear políticas que funcionen en la realidad. Y, sorprendentemente, pocos izquierdistas lo hacen.
Otro problema es que, a lo largo de la historia, la gente ha sostenido, con sentido común, que no se puede permitir que los recaudadores netos de impuestos voten. (Los recaudadores netos de impuestos son quienes reciben más dinero del gobierno del que pagan en impuestos).
¿Por qué? Porque seguirán votando por más y más cosas gratis del gobierno y por más y más impuestos. Porque eso les beneficia. Reciben más cosas gratis y, de todas formas, no pagan ese aumento de impuestos.
A mediano plazo, obligar al gobierno a repartir cantidades cada vez mayores de cosas gratis y al mismo tiempo aumentar los impuestos cada vez más, obviamente destruye a la sociedad.
Por lo tanto no se puede permitir que la gente que recauda impuestos netos vote.
Por eso, históricamente, solo los propietarios podían votar. Sí, algo muy malo, muy opresivo, pero dar voto solo a los propietarios significa que solo los contribuyentes netos pueden votar. Por lo tanto, no existe el problema de que la gente vote por más cosas gratis e impuestos más altos. Porque los contribuyentes netos no van a seguir votando por más impuestos.
Hoy en día, el problema se puede evitar otorgando el voto a cualquier contribuyente neto, independientemente de su género. También se puede decir que, si dos personas están casadas, ambas tienen derecho a voto si, en conjunto, son contribuyentes netos. De esta manera, una esposa que se queda en casa puede votar si su esposo es lo suficientemente productivo, lo cual, por supuesto, está bien.
Esto significaría que los inmigrantes que reciben asistencia social no pueden votar, mientras que los inmigrantes productivos que son contribuyentes netos sí pueden hacerlo. Lo cual muchos considerarán positivo.
Aun así, a la izquierda probablemente no le guste la idea de que los pobres y los inmigrantes que reciben asistencia social no tengan derecho a voto.
Y les gustará aún menos esta idea si se dan cuenta de que, en promedio, los hombres son contribuyentes netos y las mujeres, recaudadoras netas. (Lo cual no se debe a la discriminación de género, como se ha demostrado repetidamente. Claro que siempre se puede encontrar alguna empresa que discrimine, pero la gran mayoría no paga menos a las mujeres por el mismo trabajo. Si las empresas discriminan, suelen hacerlo a favor de las mujeres).
Por lo tanto, “sólo los contribuyentes netos tienen derecho a voto” es teóricamente neutral en cuanto al género, pero en la práctica significa que más hombres que mujeres tendrían derecho a voto.
Así que la mayoría de la izquierda se opondrá a esto, aunque todavía es evidente que algo así es necesario.
La mayoría de la izquierda simplemente dirá: "Bueno, quiero que todos puedan votar porque ese es el principio moral en el que creo", aunque un poco de lógica demuestra claramente que simplemente no funciona. Y no se puede priorizar lo que suena bien sobre lo que realmente funciona.
Además, la izquierda lleva casi cinco décadas afirmando que el cambio climático dañará gravemente la civilización en un futuro próximo. Sin embargo, esto no sucede, y aun así, la izquierda sigue creyéndolo.
He aquí un ejemplo entre muchos. El ecologista Kenneth Watt dijo en 1970: «El mundo se ha estado enfriando drásticamente durante unos 20 años. Si las tendencias actuales continúan, la temperatura media global será unos 4 grados más fría en 1990, pero 11 grados más fría en el año 2000. Esto es aproximadamente el doble de lo que se necesitaría para entrar en una edad de hielo».
¿Te diste cuenta de que la Tierra se enfrió 11 grados entre 1970 y 2000, y que comenzó una nueva Edad de Hielo? Yo tampoco.
Claro, una predicción fallida no es gran cosa, pero no es solo una predicción fallida. Es una montaña de predicciones fallidas. Si la derecha predijera continuamente algo que nunca se cumpliera, con razón los criticaría por ello.
Ahora giremos hacia la derecha.
El economista Piketty demostró que si la tasa de retorno del capital es persistentemente más alta que el crecimiento económico general, eso conduce a una mayor concentración de la riqueza (a menos que se contrarreste).
Básicamente, y para ir un poco más allá de lo que hizo Piketty: hay que imponer impuestos altos a los ricos y a las megacorporaciones (no a la clase media), porque de lo contrario los ricos y las megacorporaciones hacen crecer su riqueza fuera de control.
Y cuando su riqueza crece fuera de control, empiezan a hacer cosas tontas como comprar todas las casas, o sobornar a los políticos para que dejen entrar a millones de inmigrantes y así poder reducir sus costos laborales, o lavar el cerebro a la población a través de su medio de comunicación personal.
No es una falla extraña del sistema que nos lleve a vivir de repente bajo un capitalismo de amiguetes. Si no se grava lo suficiente a los ricos, su riqueza se multiplica y luego corrompen el capitalismo, convirtiéndolo en capitalismo de amiguetes. Porque eso les resulta rentable.
Si no se implementan impuestos altos a los ricos, se obtiene una forma de capitalismo que se degrada con el tiempo. Así que no se puede decir: «Miren la historia del capitalismo, claramente funciona», porque la versión de capitalismo que se defiende es una que se degrada con el tiempo.
En términos generales, Estados Unidos dejó de imponer impuestos altos a los ricos alrededor de 1981. Y ese fue también el momento en que los ricos comenzaron a hacer crecer su riqueza como una bola de nieve, mientras que la clase media dejó de enriquecerse (a pesar de aumentar cada vez más su productividad).
El período de 1950 a 1970 que la derecha estadounidense idealiza como la época dorada de Estados Unidos, cuando un hombre blanco promedio podía mantener a una familia con un solo ingreso... Bueno, los impuestos para los ricos eran muy altos en ese período.
Este es un punto crítico. La piedra angular de la ideología de derecha es «implementar nuestra agenda económica y la marea creciente nos ayudará a todos». Sin embargo, esa afirmación es simplemente falsa, porque la riqueza crece como una bola de nieve sin impuestos altos para los ricos y, por lo tanto, el capitalismo puro se degrada con el tiempo.
Una refutación común es que si se gravan más a los ricos, simplemente se irán y entonces se obtendrán menos ingresos fiscales en total. Pero eso simplemente no es cierto en la realidad. Suena inteligente y parece cierto, pero no lo es. Resulta que los ricos también son humanos, y no son solo máquinas de optimizar ganancias. Además, puede tener sentido económico para una persona rica quedarse en Estados Unidos a pesar de los altos impuestos, simplemente porque las oportunidades económicas en el país son abundantes.
Los estados pueden simplemente acordar que nadie se involucrará en una carrera hacia el abismo reduciendo sus impuestos a los ricos. Y entonces todos los estados saldrán ganando, porque Estados Unidos es simplemente demasiado lucrativo como para no hacer negocios. Esto es lo que la derecha debería defender (y la izquierda estará de acuerdo con ello).
Otra refutación común es: “bueno, los ricos ya pagan este enorme porcentaje de impuestos, no deberían pagar aún más”.
Bueno, primero, la desigualdad es enorme, así que, por supuesto, los muy ricos pagan la mayor parte de los impuestos. Pero ¿significa eso que gravarlos más es injusto o que la desigualdad de la riqueza es demasiado alta y debería abordarse?
Y segundo, este es un argumento del tipo "no deberíamos hacer esto porque mi ideología dice que es malo", del que la derecha normalmente se burla, mientras que la izquierda. Después de todo, dejando de lado la ideología, subir los impuestos a los ricos funciona.
Estratégicamente, mientras la derecha se niegue a imponer impuestos altos a los ricos, la izquierda podrá seguir señalando que su agenda económica solo beneficia a quienes ya son adinerados. Y la izquierda tiene razón en esto.
No implementaría la agenda económica por defecto, ni de izquierda ni de derecha, pero si tuviera que elegir entre ellas (y no considerara la inmigración), implementaría la agenda económica de izquierda. Principalmente por esto.
Si se implementa la agenda económica estándar de la derecha, se obtiene una tiranía corporativa, donde las personas en teoría son libres pero en la práctica están económicamente esclavizadas.
Además, a la derecha le encanta decir que los gobiernos de derecha son más responsables fiscalmente. Sin embargo, durante el primer mandato de Trump, aumentó el déficit y la deuda. Incluso antes de la pandemia. Esto se debió en gran parte a sus recortes fiscales, que beneficiaron desproporcionadamente (aunque no exclusivamente) a los ricos. Los recortes fiscales para quienes no son ricos están bien, pero los recortes fiscales para los ricos no.
Por el contrario, los gobiernos de izquierda tampoco son muy responsables fiscalmente, pero obtienen mejores resultados de los que la derecha suele reconocer. Esto se debe a su tendencia a subir los impuestos a los ricos, lo que en realidad ayuda a estabilizar las finanzas públicas (y reduce la desigualdad, lo cual es un beneficio en sí mismo).
A continuación:
Otra falacia que algunos de la derecha creen es que si el gobierno se quitara de en medio, todo iría genial. Pero, en realidad, eso conduce a (cuasi)monopolios, cárteles, ciudades industriales y empresas que destruyen la naturaleza. Conduce a una financiación insuficiente de bienes públicos (carreteras, redes eléctricas, inspecciones de seguridad alimentaria). Conduce a multimillonarios que compran medios de comunicación para censurar la verdad y lavar el cerebro a la población. Y no impediría que las empresas deslocalizaran empleos estadounidenses ni que importaran indios y los obligaran a trabajar a bajo precio.
Un derechista podría replicar que la agenda de la izquierda es el comunismo y, por lo tanto, estanterías vacías y hambre; sin embargo, la mayoría de los izquierdistas de 2025 no están a favor del comunismo. Lo que la izquierda real quiere es algo parecido al modelo europeo, que, si bien no es perfecto, no es comunismo ni estanterías vacías.
Francamente, la calidad de vida es mejor en algunos países europeos que en Estados Unidos, aun cuando los países europeos suelen ser pobres en recursos y no siempre disponen de una gran cantidad de buena tierra agrícola.
A algunos derechistas les encanta afirmar que la economía va bien, por lo que los jóvenes deberían dejar de quejarse, simplemente trabajar más duro y dejar de tomar malas decisiones. Sin embargo, la afirmación de que "la economía va bien" se basa en las cifras del PIB y el rendimiento del mercado de valores, cifras que en realidad no ayudan a los jóvenes. Los adultos jóvenes tienen poco o ningún valor.
La afirmación también se basa en las cifras de desempleo, pero estas están manipuladas. Además, esto solo significa que los jóvenes adultos pueden encontrar trabajo, no que puedan encontrar uno que les permita comprar una casa y mantener a una familia. En realidad, hoy en día, los jóvenes adultos están sufriendo una presión irrazonable. Y muchos derechistas hacen la vista gorda, porque ya tienen casa, así que les beneficia que los precios de las viviendas se disparen. Aunque eso perjudique a la siguiente generación.
Lo que vemos en estos argumentos es que tanto la izquierda como la derecha modernas tienen paquetes de ideas emocionalmente satisfactorios y quizás beneficiosos para sus bases (o para sus donantes). Sin embargo, ni la izquierda ni la derecha priorizan la verdad. Y eso no funciona.
La izquierda prioriza (una forma imperfecta de) amor por encima de la verdad.
Si esto suena a una afirmación extrema, es cierto. Según la izquierda, una persona con pene, cromosomas XY y un cuerpo masculino normal es mujer si dice ser mujer.
Y gran parte de la izquierda quiere que te castiguen si te niegas a llamar "ella" a esta persona, o si te opones a encerrarla en una cárcel de mujeres si comete un delito, o si te opones a que practique deportes femeninos. Porque eso es lo que significan los "derechos trans".
Esto es claramente una priorización del amor sobre la verdad. Porque, obviamente, una persona con pene, cromosomas XY y un cuerpo masculino normal no es una mujer. Ahora bien, se podría argumentar que después de la cirugía esta persona es una mujer, pero ese no es el argumento que plantea la izquierda.
Cabe destacar que la izquierda no permite que las personas blancas se declaren negras (véase Rachel Dolezal). Y también se niega a dejar de llamar nazis a ciertas personas, incluso si no están de acuerdo con ser etiquetadas como tales. Por lo tanto, la postura de la izquierda no es la de "honrar la identidad que las personas reclaman".
Se trata, en cambio, de amor, cuidado y protección de personas percibidas como vulnerables, independientemente de la verdad o la coherencia lógica. O, en resumen, es amor por encima de la verdad.
Incluso si estás de acuerdo con la izquierda en su posición trans, no puedes negar que esto es una priorización del amor sobre la verdad.
Incluso si piensas que esta posición trans previene daños, bueno, eso no la hace verdadera.
Otra forma en que la izquierda prioriza el amor sobre la verdad es que no quiere que se publiquen las estadísticas de delincuencia de los inmigrantes. (Lo cual contradice la postura de la izquierda de que la inmigración ilegal no es un problema, porque ¿cómo es que su propio bando no quiere que se publiquen esas estadísticas? Además, ¿cómo puede decir que los inmigrantes ilegales no son un problema si usted mismo no ha visto esas estadísticas?)
La izquierda, en general, tampoco quería que ni siquiera a los expertos y médicos se les permitiera hablar en contra del trabajo por la covid o de los confinamientos por la covid.
De la misma manera, la derecha prioriza (una forma imperfecta de) la libertad por sobre la verdad, y eso también es incorrecto.
Por ejemplo, a la derecha le gusta contar que Estados Unidos es un país noble y que todos se han aprovechado de la pobre e inocente población estadounidense, y que, por lo tanto, es bueno y apropiado que Estados Unidos, bajo el gobierno de Trump, se tome la libertad de actuar de forma abiertamente egoísta en el escenario mundial. Incluso si eso implica violar el derecho internacional, bombardear, asesinar, etc. Mientras Trump diga que está bien, está bien.
Eso de que "todos se aprovechan de la pobre, noble e inocente América" simplemente no es cierto. Claro, Estados Unidos ha hecho cosas muy buenas; sin embargo, durante aproximadamente el 90-95 % de su historia, ha participado en algún tipo de acción militar contra extranjeros. Aunque Estados Unidos es geográficamente tan seguro que realmente no necesita estar asesinando extranjeros constantemente. Sin embargo, lo hace.
La mayoría de los derechistas no consideran tan grave que su país sancione o bloquee a otro, aunque esto sea el equivalente moderno de un asedio. Por ejemplo, las sanciones contra Irak causaron la muerte de medio millón de niños ( https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/8520385/
Matar a medio millón de niños iraquíes es solo un ejemplo. Estados Unidos sanciona a muchísimos países.
¿Cómo se sentiría Estados Unidos si otro país matara indirectamente a medio millón de niños estadounidenses? Bueno, eso fue lo que le hicieron a Irak.
Muchos derechistas consideran a los judíos como quizás las personas más malvadas o problemáticas del planeta, porque el AIPAC y ciertas otras personas y organizaciones judías ejercen una influencia excesiva sobre Estados Unidos. Sin embargo, por otro lado, Estados Unidos ha instalado entre 20 y 60 líderes títeres en otros países, dependiendo de cómo se defina exactamente "líder títere". Y a la derecha le da igual.
Si Estados Unidos le hace algo a otro país, no es para tanto. Si otro país le hace algo a Estados Unidos, es la peor cosa del mundo.
Si le preguntas a cualquier persona en la Tierra cuál es el país que representa la mayor amenaza para la paz mundial, el país con mayor probabilidad de ser mencionado no es Israel. Es Estados Unidos.
Trump dijo que Estados Unidos se estaba “quedando con el petróleo” de Siria, cuando las tropas estadounidenses ocuparon parte de Siria.
(La persona que se hace pasar por) Trump también incautó recientemente un petrolero venezolano. ¿No se suponía que Venezuela sería una operación antidrogas? Entonces, ¿por qué incautar un petrolero? A menos que la operación en Venezuela sea realmente sobre petróleo; después de todo, Venezuela tiene las mayores reservas probadas de petróleo del mundo. Y, francamente, si de verdad quieres lanzar una operación antidrogas, Venezuela no es el país principal al que irías.
Estados Unidos suele incendiar alguna parte del mundo, y los estadounidenses de derecha luego fingen no tener ninguna obligación con esas personas ni con esos refugiados, cuando en realidad fue Estados Unidos quien provocó el incendio. La desestabilización estadounidense de los países de Oriente Medio es bien conocida.
Estados Unidos también facilitó el golpe de Estado de 2014 en Ucrania, sin el cual la actual guerra en ese país no habría ocurrido. Así que quizá los europeos no sean sanguijuelas. Quizás Estados Unidos instigó al oso con un palo y luego dejó que los europeos se encargaran de él cuando este se enfadó.
Además, Biden dijo esto:
Biden: “Si Rusia invade —es decir, si tanques o tropas cruzan de nuevo la frontera de Ucrania—, ya no habrá Nord Stream 2 [el gasoducto que une Rusia con Alemania]. Lo detendremos”.
Periodista: “¿Pero cómo lo harán exactamente, si el proyecto y el control del proyecto están bajo el control de Alemania?”.
Biden : “Lo haremos… les prometo que podremos hacerlo”.
Y, ¡miren!, después, el Nord Stream 2 fue destruido. Así que Alemania ya no pudo comprar gas ruso y tuvo que comprar GNL estadounidense, mucho más caro. Alemania tiene graves dificultades económicas por eso, y luego Trump le dijo a Alemania que gastara más dinero en defensa, lo que en realidad significa comprar más armas estadounidenses.
Sí, Estados Unidos sin duda suena como el país noble e inocente del que se aprovechan los codiciosos europeos.
Estados Unidos también practicó la esclavitud.
Y Estados Unidos cometió genocidio contra los nativos americanos.
Además, es bastante egoísta que Estados Unidos haya utilizado el genocidio para conquistar una enorme cantidad de tierras ricas para sí mismo, y después haya dicho que a todos los demás no se les permitía cometer genocidio o conquistar territorio.
Ahora bien, esto no significa que Estados Unidos sea todo malo o que los demás países sean todos buenos.
Claro, Estados Unidos hace cosas buenas, y claro, otros países también hacen cosas malas. Y claro, si otro país fuera tan poderoso como Estados Unidos, probablemente haría más cosas malas de las que hace actualmente.
Aun así, la narrativa de la derecha sobre un Estados Unidos brillante, libre, noble y con buenas intenciones, mientras todos los demás países están tratando de aprovecharse de Estados Unidos o son cuasi dictaduras no libres, realmente no es veraz.
Si quieres defender a Estados Unidos diciendo que cualquier otro país en su situación habría hecho lo mismo:
Primero, eso no es cierto, porque los países están gobernados por personas y no todas están dispuestas a asesinar extranjeros para lograr objetivos geopolíticos. Simplemente no es exacto afirmar que todas las personas son asesinas.
Y segundo, incluso si eso fuera cierto, eso simplemente convertiría a Estados Unidos en un país más, ni mejor ni peor que otros. Eso dista mucho de la narrativa de la derecha de que Estados Unidos es una ciudad excepcionalmente libre y brillante en la cima de la colina.
Es una falacia de motte-and-bailey: la afirmación real es que Estados Unidos es un país con una moral única, y cuando se ataca eso, la defensa se reduce a "bueno, Estados Unidos no es peor que otros países". Pero podría decirse que Estados Unidos no es peor que otros países no lo hace más moral que prácticamente todos los demás, que era precisamente lo que se afirmaba.
Así que esta narrativa de la derecha no es cierta.
Y sin la falsa narrativa de la derecha de que Estados Unidos es una ciudad excepcionalmente libre, excepcionalmente moral y brillante en la cima de la colina, de la que otros países simplemente se aprovechan, también hay mucha menos justificación para que Trump se tome la libertad de lanzar amenazas, aranceles y sanciones contra otros países. Y ocasionalmente bombardearlos, asesinar a su gente o confiscar su petrolero o yacimiento petrolífero.
La mayoría de los estadounidenses de derecha odiaron que China limitara las exportaciones de tierras raras a Estados Unidos, a pesar de que Estados Unidos hace cosas similares con otros países todo el tiempo.
Los estadounidenses de derecha simplemente quieren que su país tenga la libertad de actuar de forma abiertamente egoísta, y cuentan una historia falsa para justificarlo. Pero eso es anteponer la libertad a la verdad.
Y sí, el estadounidense promedio está en apuros y necesita ayuda. Pero no fueron Siria, Venezuela ni Yemen quienes lo presionaron. Por lo tanto, no se justifica robar petróleo sirio, confiscar un petrolero venezolano ni bombardear a los hutíes.
La verdad debe anteponerse al amor o a la libertad, aunque, como acabo de ilustrar, ni la izquierda ni la derecha priorizan la verdad.
Además, tanto la izquierda como la derecha maltratan a las personas que no pertenecen a su endogrupo hasta un punto francamente inaceptable. Ahora bien, sí, es aceptable tratar mejor a las personas de tu endogrupo que a las de tu exogrupo. Sin embargo, no es aceptable maltratar severamente a las personas de tu exogrupo. Algo que hacen tanto la izquierda como la derecha.
Por ejemplo, en la práctica la izquierda discrimina a los hombres.
La izquierda dice que Occidente no se define por la blancura de sus ciudadanos, sino por sus valores de liberalismo, justicia, meritocracia, etcétera.
Bueno, no se puede definir a Occidente de esa manera y luego proceder a discriminar a los hombres de formas injustas y antimeritocráticas.
Según su propia lógica eso significa que la izquierda está destruyendo Occidente.
Es evidente que esta discriminación contra los hombres existe. Y es evidente que es injustificada, porque los hombres no gozan de privilegios en Occidente en 2025. Para más argumentos, véanse los mensajes anteriores «Hakann: No es normal cómo se trata a los hombres» o «Túnez: supremacía femenina».
Además, la izquierda cree que bajo ninguna circunstancia se debe permitir que los hombres trabajen para beneficiarlos específicamente. Eso es sexismo, misoginia, odio a las mujeres, daño, discriminación, patriarcado, red de exalumnos, techo de cristal, masculinidad tóxica, comportamiento incel, extrema derecha, etc.
Incluso si un hombre hace algo benigno como construir un refugio para hombres maltratados, encontrarás algunas mujeres que dicen que no debería financiarse:
Mientras los hombres son destruidos, la izquierda se preocupa principalmente por asegurarse de que no digan palabras maliciosas o supuestamente "dañinas".
Y, por supuesto, bajo ninguna circunstancia se debe permitir que los blancos trabajen para beneficiar a otros blancos. Eso es supremacismo blanco, racismo, nazismo, discriminación, etc.
Pero a todos los grupos, excepto a los hombres y a los blancos, se les permite trabajar para organizarse y beneficiarse. Y de hecho, lo hacen. Y eso se considera perfectamente normal y aceptable. Nadie lo llama "supremacía femenina" ni nada parecido.
La izquierda maltrata así a los hombres y a los blancos. Y además es ingenua, porque en realidad, prácticamente todos los grupos, excepto los hombres y los blancos, promueven los intereses de su propio grupo.
Ahora bien, la derecha también maltrata a las personas de su exogrupo hasta un grado inaceptable.
A la derecha no le molesta mucho que Trump bombardee Irán, Yemen (donde murió un número significativo de civiles), que Trump permita un genocidio de palestinos, o que Trump asesine ilegalmente a venezolanos sin el debido proceso.
La derecha podría aplaudir esto, o como mucho, podría decir que no le gusta porque Trump debería centrarse primero en Estados Unidos. Pero esa sigue siendo una objeción muy pequeña contra el asesinato ilegal.
Imaginen si otro país asesinara a estadounidenses sin el debido proceso, basándose únicamente en una acusación sin fundamento de que eran narcotraficantes, en una situación en la que esos estadounidenses podrían haber sido arrestados. Claro que la derecha estadounidense lo calificaría de inaceptable. Pero cuando Trump hace eso con los venezolanos, a la derecha le da igual.
Les he dado muchos ejemplos. Y hay muchos más. Si quieren aprender más, hablen con alguien del otro bando político y escúchenlo atentamente. Claro, quizá la mayoría de lo que digan sea falso, pero tendrán algunos puntos a favor.
Todo esto suena bastante incómodo. ¿Qué está pasando realmente?
Bueno, como dijimos al principio: la mayoría de las personas están en modo supervivencia (en diferentes grados).
Y las personas en modo de supervivencia descartan la verdad y la moralidad (sin darse cuenta de que lo están haciendo) y, en cambio, creen en todo aquello que les ayude a satisfacer sus necesidades.
Adoptar todo el paquete de creencias de un bando político es excelente para ayudarle a satisfacer sus necesidades.
Porque tu partido probablemente te ayudará materialmente si llega al poder.
Además, adoptar el conjunto de creencias significa que la mitad del país cree al instante que eres una gran persona, sin ningún esfuerzo por tu parte. Esto ayuda a satisfacer tus necesidades psicológicas.
Y adoptar el paquete de creencias significa que ahora de repente estás luchando junto con tus hermanos y hermanas por un propósito justo, y estás a punto de derrotar a los villanos del otro lado político y salvar a los inocentes.
Te hace sentir bien. Te permite elevarte egoicamente por encima de la mitad del país y te da una comunidad y un propósito.
Pero no es verdad.
Desafortunadamente, se está produciendo una especie de "epidemia de supervivencia". Algunas personas se pusieron en modo de supervivencia y se volvieron políticamente extremistas. Y luego, quienes pertenecían al otro bando político se contagiaron y se asustaron, por lo que también se volvieron políticamente más extremistas.
Entonces, ¿mantuviste una postura que ahora consideras falsa o inmoral? Obviamente, eres libre de reflexionar sobre ello o investigar por tu cuenta antes de responder esa pregunta.
De ser así, ¿alguna vez adoptaste esa postura conscientemente? ¿O simplemente entraste en modo supervivencia en algún momento y la adoptaste inconscientemente para satisfacer ciertas necesidades?
Las personas en modo de supervivencia a menudo no se dan cuenta de que están en modo de supervivencia, porque darse cuenta de eso les causaría angustia, y el objetivo del modo de supervivencia es que su sistema abandone la verdad para satisfacer sus necesidades, que incluyen el bienestar emocional.
Si crees que no estás en modo supervivencia:
Es posible que no lo seas. No todo el mundo lo es.
Si, por ejemplo, meditas o haces yoga durante más de 90 minutos casi todos los días, es buena señal de que no estás en modo supervivencia. Para que quede claro, para la mayoría de las personas, 90 minutos de meditación al día serían demasiado. Tampoco digo que 90 minutos de meditación sean un requisito.
Otra buena señal de que no estás en modo de supervivencia es si actualmente inviertes mucho tiempo, energía o recursos en ayudar a los demás, de maneras que no te benefician. Y eso es genial, porque ayuda a otros a salir de ese modo.
Si haces algo que ayuda a los demás, pero también a ti mismo, eso podría demostrar que no estás en modo de supervivencia. Pero también podrías estar en modo de supervivencia y simplemente usar eso para tu propio beneficio.
Criticar a los demás puede ser válido y a veces útil, pero también podría ser simplemente un deseo tuyo de elevarte por encima de los demás.
Puedes participar en activismo político y sentir que es beneficioso, pero, como ya comentamos, eso también te beneficia claramente. Además, por la razón que ya comentamos, promover el paquete de ideas estándar defectuoso de tu bando puede hacer que el otro se sienta menos seguro y, por lo tanto, podría no mejorar el mundo. Incluso si tu bando tiene razón en general.
Ahora, si estás en modo supervivencia:
Mira, está bien. La mayoría de la gente lo está.
Además, la Tierra es increíblemente dura. Así que tiene sentido estar en modo supervivencia.
No es tu culpa
Lo estás haciendo genial.
Eres completamente digno de amor, tal como eres, ahora mismo.
Pero si estás en modo de supervivencia, entonces intenta darte cuenta de cuáles de tus necesidades no están siendo satisfechas y, si es posible, intenta satisfacerlas de formas más directas, conscientes y sencillas.
Y ten en cuenta que es posible que actualmente creas en cosas falsas o inmorales, o que no estés empatizando de verdad con los demás, y que no veas lo difícil que lo pasan otros y otros grupos. Esto no se debe a ningún defecto tuyo, sino simplemente a que ahora mismo estás en modo supervivencia.
Satisfacer tus necesidades (y algo de tiempo) te sacará del modo supervivencia.
La práctica espiritual, como observar todo lo que surge, puede contribuir a tu bienestar mental y ayudarte a salir del modo de supervivencia a mediano plazo.
