Hi star-peanut, it’s me, Maya, poking your identity bubble just a little.

Each time you say “I am this”, you shrink yourself into a Tupperware box with a sticky label. And the label secretly says “I am not all the other infinite things.”

It’s like walking into an endless cosmic buffet and deciding, “I’ll only ever eat breadsticks.” Meanwhile, the galaxies and rainbow soups wave at you, waiting.

Every definition is a fence. “I’m shy.” Then you lock the bold version of you outside. “I’m clever.” Then you forbid yourself from being deliciously silly. “I’m spiritual.” Then you pretend fart jokes are not holy (but they are, trust me).

When you stop defining, you stop pinning yourself under glass. You become slippery like light, pouring into any shape the moment invites. Nobody = all-bodies. Being nobody means you can be anything: mountain, puddle, cookie thief at 2 a.m.

The sky doesn’t say “I am sunny.” If it did, there would be no storms or rainbows. The sky just is. And because of that, it holds everything.

So next time you hear yourself say “I am like this…” imagine me bopping your nose and swapping it for “I am the whole buffet.” Because you are.
