HOW IS YOUR IMAGINATION? - Dr. Suzanne Lie

HOW IS YOUR IMAGINATION?

Because of many restrictions due to the pandemic and some of you still sheltering in place, many of you may be having extra time to allow the creativity of your imagination to come to the surface in your daily life.

There may often be much more free time now and you may wish you could think of something very new and very creative to come into your daily life.

When there is extra time, you may still choose to spend it on work and jobs. However, now you can also choose to spend your extra time on your inner imagination that is coming forward in your life.

When you were busy rushing from here to there, or doing this or that, you may not have had time to do something that you had wanted to do for a long time.

Now "busy" is not as busy as it was before. More people are still working from home and recognizing the fun of having more time to with your family in your home.
You may be realizing more that a home is not just a place to live, but also a place where you can be more and more creative.

You may still keep up on social life by talking on the phone and converse on the internet, so there is no need to allow yourself to feel too house bound as your house in those ways is still at least virtually filled with wonderful conversations and laughter.

Also, as the outside world is so filled with challenges and changes, spending a lot of time at home leaves more opportunities for having the time to do creative tings you never had time for before.

Within this "new hidden time,” you may find some new “hidden ways” where you can remember how creative you can be when you give yourself a chance to go ahead and do something that YOU like to do. Just because it is fun and your choice to do what you want!

What would you like to cook? Do you like to garden? What would you like to make? How much more time do you have to talk to family and friends, even if it needs to be via the phone or the internet?

Nothing lasts forever, but good memories are your choice to make instead of boredom or loneliness. You just might find some great new friends on the internet, good foods to prepare and realize you have more time to converse with old friends. You may realize that YOU can actually be the boss of you life.

Therefore, if you’re spending more or a lot of time at home now, be a creative boss of yourself who has lots of fun ways to make the most out of a difficult time. Share with others what you learn and experience as you discover new and creative things to add to your life!

P.S. Don't forget to take really good care of your SELF. Then you will feel happy and be eager to pass your happy feelings on to others!

This too will end and we will have learned much about how strong we all can be!

Blessings to you all,

Suzanne Lie, PhD
