Background: [if you're new to the 144K & Cobra's off-world intel] - advanced races that wouldn't or couldn't ascend at the end of past cosmic cycles (where the universe contracts completely & then explodes into life & expansion again via the classic Big Bang, which makes it impossible to survive without ascending) ...
