Dynamic Communion

by Aprilhelen

offering making
preparing to sit
candles. humming. saging.

dedicating this worship
may all beings benefit
igniting righteous intentioning

posturing the mind on thee
stillness resting comfortably
high upon your inner nation
bow your heart. humble.

breathing synchrony
universal symphony
omnipresent respiration
paradise as the goal

expanding horizon freely
soul’s deepening fragrantly
sense beyond narration
observation, the only toll

chanting prayers to thee
silent petitioning melody
harmonious collaboration
celestials rejoice our role

witnessing. awe and content
reverent listening in all moments
every breath, god’s kissing

Mother Spirit by Angela R. Sasser

Mother Spirit

by Angela R. Sasser

To you who taught me strength in the face of adversity, who helped me to see hope in the dimmest situations, who gave me life from her own. Joseph Campbell once said that birth was an act of heroism. I couldn't agree more.

(34:1.4 [375.3])This personalized presence of the Infinite Spirit, the Creative Mother Spirit of the local universe, is known in Satania as the Divine Minister. To all practical intents and spiritual purposes this manifestation of Deity is a divine individual, a spirit person.

Where Do We Go When We Die?

by Chuck Thurston and Derek Samaras

Where we go after we die is one of the oldest and deepest mysteries about human life in this world. The truth has been revealed and lost at different times in our planet’s history, and in today’s secular culture, many believe that there is no continuation of selfhood after death. Among those religions that do teach belief in life after death, only the ones that base this belief on the idea of resurrection into a heavenly realm are able to promise the survival of individuality and continuity of personality. But even these offer no real detail about what we’ll be doing in the next life.

As we’ll see in this episode of study group, The Urantia Book fills this void with striking descriptions of what we can expect as we go forward in our universe career. Jesus gave us a hint in this statement that is recorded in the Bible: “In my Father’s house are many mansions.” This is a direct reference to the mansion worlds, where we pick up our lives at the exact stage of development that we achieve prior to death. A real grasp of how this is possible requires an understanding of morontia realities, which are first revealed to this world in the pages of The Urantia Book.

In Paper 48 section 8, (48:8 [557.16]) we learn that the mansion worlds are specially made architectural spheres. Unlike the worlds of evolutionary origin, these spheres are designed to support our transition from material to spiritual levels of existence.

We’ll have the opportunity to reunite with loved ones, and our angelic companions will be fully visible to us. Our first awakening into morontia life is described as an experience that we will never forget throughout all eternity. As we progress through these worlds we eventually leave behind the “coarse vestiges” of our animal origin, and become very kind and tolerant as a result of “coming up through great tribulation.” (47:8.7 [538.5])

Journey to Paradise by John Byron

Morontia progression pertains to continuing advancement of intellect, spirit, and personality form. Survivors are still three-natured beings. Throughout the entire morontia experience they are wards of the local universe. The regime of the superuniverse does not function until the spirit career begins. (30:4.19 [342.2])
